Author's Note- OK. Finally, an actual story from me. I'd never thought I'd be writing actual stories and putting then on here, but here it is. It's a little short, too.
Natalia sat there, gazing at the stars. She couldn't help but think of Asch. Tears welled up in her eyes and a lump formed in her throat. She hugged her knees for comfort, but it never came.
The wind felt icy against her wet face. Natalia had never felt more alone in her entire life.
--
Guy had been rudely woken up by Luke atrocious snoring and couldn't go back to sleep.
He got up and quietly tiptoed out of the room to grab a bite to eat before trying to go to bed again.
As he rounded the corner he passed the girls' room, a certain blonde healer caught his eye. Natalia was curled up in a ball-like form on the balcony, looking up into space. Her cheeks were wet; she was probably thinking about Asch.
Guy quietly walked over next to her and sat down. She didn't seen to notice.
"He wouldn't want you to be so sad." He said in an almost whisper tone. She glanced his way, and then turned back toward to stars. He continued,
"Asch made that sacrifice to let Luke free Lorelei. So you could live without facing such a huge problem."
Natalia just sat there, taking in his words. She shivered from the coldness she had been experiencing the past time she'd been out here.
Guy noticed her shudder. She must have been out here for a long time. He thought. Guy wrapped his arms around her, cuddling her in his torso. His phobia didn't seem to mind the closeness to her, but it could have also been that he wasn't thinking about it at the time.
She thought about what he said. I know Asch wouldn't want me to be sad all the time. He'd want me to be happy and change the country, like we said all those years ago.
Natalia suddenly felt Guy's arms around her. It felt good, like... She was safe and didn't have to worry anymore. Her eyes fluttered shut and she relaxed in his grip.
Guy glanced over to Natalia; smiling at the fact that she had stopped crying. He was relieved that he was able to bring her smile back. Just looking at her smile could cheer anyone up. Or, at least him.
He looked back at the midnight sky and noticed a star in the distance that, at any rate, was getting brighter by the second.
