When you wish Upon a Star
Harry stood outside the dormitory on Christmas Eve, letting the mild wind brush through his hair.
He looked up at the sky and sighed.
"I wish…I wish that for once, I would get something really special. More special than any thing I can buy with money." Harry said out aloud.
"But, wishes don't come true. At least, they never did for me." He said silently to himself. But he didn't notice that a bright meteor shot through
The next morning—
"Merry Christmas!" shouted Ron.
Harry smiled at his friend and sat straight up. On the foot of his bed was a bunch of presents.
Harry swiftly opened them. He got a Weasley Jumper from Mrs. Weasley, a musical crystal ball from Sirius, a pack of sweets from Remus, a locket that store memory from Ron and a Spell Book from Hermione. But they aren't the special present he wished for. Harry sighed heavily. Now he knows for sure that wishes don't come true.
"Harry, you got another present to open!" exclaimed Ron.
"Where is it?" asked Harry.
Ron pointed to Harry's pillow. On his pillow, there's a small packet wrapped in golden paper attached with a letter. Harry's heart started to beat wildly. Could this be the special present, despite its size?
Harry snatched the packet and opened the letter. He read it out loud:
Dear Harry
You might not believe this but I am you mother Lily Potter. Do not get any false hope of me being alive because I am still dead. I am only writing to you because of your wish.
Like all the mothers in the world, I love you very much and I am extremely proud of you, your kindness and bravery, your daring characteristics and the similarity between you and your farther. I consider myself as the luckiest woman in the world to have you as a son and your farther as a husband.
Harry, I know that you, somehow, feel guilty because I died for you. But I want you to know that I do not regret that I died to save you. If I did not die to save you, than you would not be alive to defeat Voldemort and so that the world is save and the new generations would have a better world to live in.
I died like a heroine, of all the things I wanted to be when I was young, a ballerina, a singer, a gymnast, it was a heroine I wanted to be the most. And I am one, I will be remembered by old and young people, people that had lived, and people that are yet to come, and most of all, I will be remember by you. I am sure of that. I felt content; I have a wonderful husband, and a heroic son, I died knowing that I saved you. I've had a successful life, what more could I ask for?
Harry, I want you to live a great life and enjoy it, I want you to be happy and treasure your life. Remember that your life is a sacrifice of my life, your father's life, thirteen years of the most important period of Sirius's life. And I want you to keep faith.
Keep remembering that I will always be with you. When you are sad, lonely and confused just close your eyes or look at the bracelet I put in the packet, and feel my presence in you body, imagine me, believe that I am in you.
Look out for meteors, when you see them, make a wish, cause when you wish upon a star, you greatest dreams would come true.
Yours truly,
Lily Potter
