"This is the community service you chose for us Levy-chan?!" Lucy exclaims while shaking her hands above her head frantically.

"It's not that bad! Aren't we both experienced in this specific field? Since we are about to be working in this department pretty soon. Interns remember." the blue haired friend explained casually. Nevertheless Lucy calms down and reads the form out once again

The government has announced a new and improved way for prisoners to reconnect with the current outside world. That is to have specialist create a found connection with the inmates. Although creating friendships is certainly not advise because of aggressive prisoners that do not listen to those terms. It is a simple test set for the prisoners to see if it helps them to seek help and understanding, if all works well. It will become a permanent idea. At the moment, we are looking for people who specialise in this area. It will most definitely won't be an easy task but we will make do on what we can. If interested please contact Makarov Dreyar or my assistant Mirajane Strauss

Sincerely, Captain Makarov

"Do you know why this has occurred to the government to create something so off? Like believe me, I don't think this is wrong at all. But we live in Fiore, we live and breathe the world of crime. Especially here in Magnollia. The amount of crime here would never change. I know that by experience" Lucy barely utters the last bit without looking at her best friend directly in the eyes.

"In my opinion, that is the exact reason why I think the council has created this program. Not to lessen the amount of convicts, but to quicken the process in hope the person and prisoners will open up to each other and the possibilities of a confession so simple its too hard for them to deny the idea" she replies back her opinion.

"I guess you're right Levy-chan, maybe I will give this service a go. But I swear, the moment a pervy old guy checks me out, I'm leaving! Got it?" Lucy yells while Levy just simply laughs.

"Yes Lu-chan, but I'm glad you said yes because yesterday I contacted his assistant, Mirajane. They will be expecting us tomorrow morning"

Lucy replies with just a simple hum, although a couple minutes later she instantly consumes what her best friend just said before seeing her retreating figure leave the room.

"Wait! TOMORROW?!" Lucy exclaims and runs after her best friend, but little does Lucy Heartfilia know. She will be grateful that Levy took in the program that day.

"LU-CHAN! WAKE UP! WE'RE LATE" Lucy wakes up from a very shrill voice, also known as Levy.

"How did you get in my apartment?" she says drowsily while rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

"What time is it anyway?" she continues then soon yawns. 'Gross morning breathe' Lucy thought.

Levy is inside Lucy's small walk in closet to decide on a fashionable yet appropriate attire for Lucy, "8:00am and don't you remember I have a spare key. Lu-chan go shower-actually no just brush your teeth, we don't have time for you to shower! I'll pick your outfit, get out of bed and go to the bathroom. We can't afford to be late!" Levy shrieks. "I promised Miss Mirajane that we will be there 9:00 on the dot"

"Don't worry, I'll be finished in 5. Promise." Lucy jumps out of bed, tripping on her slippers slightly.

After Lucy does her business in the bathroom, she jogs back into her bedroom where her outfit is laid out for her. Which is surprisingly casual.

"Hey Levy-chan? I just realised that you aren't wearing a very business attire? Is it not needed?" Lucy questions, sort of confused.

"Well I thought it was weird too, but Miss Mirajane explained why though. It was so we won't intimidate the prisoners, which I honestly do not understand since its them we will be intimidated of. Now are you dressed? because we need to go" Levy says while picking up her bag and heading towards the door.

"Wait Levy! Don't leave me, my shoes aren't even on" as she chases after her friend, rushing to put her another pair of shoes on.

Lucy and Levy arrive in front of an institution, half excited and half shitting themselves. They walk along the old tiled floor to see two people at reception desk, both female. Both women are beautiful, although one has pearl white hair and the other has a very striking purple hair colour. Levy was obviously still shocked on how gorgeous these two receptionist were indicating that she won't be talking anytime soon. Lucy decides to step in.

"Hello, I'm Lucy Heartfilia and this is my friend Levy McGarden. Apparently the department was expecting us?"

"Good Morning! I'm Mirajane Strauss and this is Kinana Cubellios. So are you two joining to be apart of the program?"

"Yes" the blonde and bluenette say in unison

"Well you guys arrived just in time, Captain is expecting everyone shortly, so I'll be giving you two your name tags and all you have to do every morning, is to just sign in on this sheet, if you're running late, all you have to do is give it a tick!" Mirajane smiled sweetly at them.

"Thank you very much! See you soon, bye" both girls waving back to the receptionist as they join the other group of people who are sitting/standing by the waiting area or corridor

Lucy decides to stay standing because of how anxious she is, though as she stands. She takes notice on everyone who is here. So many people, both male and female. Maybe not that many but '30' does seem like a large number, its basically an entire class!

"Good Morning to you all. I am Captain Makarov Dreyar and I'm very glad to see you all here today" The entire group bring their full undivided attention to the surprisingly short man, in which they did not expect. Short but still intimidating.

"As you all may know, this program is created not only by the government but by me. I designed this plan to help all prisoners create an understanding whether they like it or not. Hopefully by the end of the week, you all decide to fully stay and not run. Today I'll be telling you the 7 main rules that you all should not attend on breaking because you will be asked to leave the institute, also today is the day where you find out and meet your designated inmate. I am aware that this is indeed a risky task but if you think you are capable then just to let those people know, you will all make a difference towards this community. Reminder, I personally assigned you to an inmate because of the skills you possess and how you may be able to help each other grow and learn"

He continues.

"It was also informed that most of you will be interning here anyway, so we may as well mention this now. You're all meant to help the prisoners to see what they want to do after leaving here. Maybe a university, or job. Maybe even start a new family. Whatever it may be, just help them into thinking of starting over"

There was a pregnant pause for a moment..

"Are there any questions for the time being?" Captain looks up and asks the group

"No? Great. Moving on"

"Children, I'll begin with the 7 Rules. You will all be given a paper copy of the rules listed down but I will still be telling you all the rules head on.

1. DO NOT bring dangerous/sharp or hard metal objects that the prisoner can potentially use as a weapon because remember they are CONVICTS. Most would probably try to escape if they had the chance so do not give them at opportunity.

2. If you anger, frustrate or upset the inmate, tell the officer on sight, safety precaution.

3. Record Room is not allowed to be accessed, only if asked or needed too

4. If they want to leave, during the sessions, do not force them to return. Let them be.

5. Entrance to any prison block is prohibited

6. Immediately report any suspicious activity between inmates including, do not take part in any suspicious activity.

Lastly.

7. Do not develop any sort of feelings for your inmate"

Everyone surrounding the Captain listened attentively, trying to not miss a single word. Even though the 7 Rules aren't rocket science, it would be helpful if you listen to the Captain anyway.

"Now it seem you all understand the procedure. Therefore you all may find out the inmate you will be interacting with for 6 months"

One by one people are being called up to collect the small file of their inmate, before Lucy can self prepare she hears her name being called up.

"Lucy Heartfilia"

The blonde walks towards the Captain and he extends the file to Lucy, having no doubts she takes the file from him, before being able to walk away the Captain tells her something in a low voice.

"Don't be afraid of the boy, he is a great kid. But very dangerous" At that statement, all Lucy could do was nod.
After a few more people including Levy, they are all separated into different blocks to meet their inmate.

Walking along the corridors of the building is very nerve wracking, especially having Lucy to see the amount of prisoners being held behind their metal cells, it doesn't really help the thoughts flying in her head.
This is Magnolia Prison. It is slightly high tech but it looks very medieval, though apparently it is very heavily armed and protected from any one getting in or out unless authorised. Having that said, it does bring a peace of thought in Lucy's mind.

"Cell 28, Come out. Its not a visitor if thats what you think" The tall Warden said to the inmate who I'm about to meet

"Get lost old man, I'm not moving out of this cell" The voice yelled back, 'Can a voice be attractive?!' Lucy thought. The Warden smiled at Lucy sheepishly feeling bad for making her wait. The male Warden walked into the cell blocks to retrieve the inmate, but after hearing a few growls here and there, Lucy thought she may not even meet the inmate.

5 minutes later she sees the Warden come back with a prisoner with pink hair?! How interesting yet weird.. The Warden brings the boy to take a sit across from me. I look at the name tag of the Warden and it says Gildarts Clive.

Lucy lifts her head up to thank Gildarts because she knows it must of been a challenge to bring him out here. After it seems that the two are finally alone, she decides to start the conversation

"Hi my name is Lucy" She gives him a small smile so she doesn't seem weird or creepy

No reply.

"I know you really don't want to be here with me, but can you at least tell me your name? Please?"

Nothing, not even a glance. He is just simply looking down to his wrist acting as if that is more interesting.

"Look, I'm just here to get to know you and even possibly help you to be prepared in the future" Lucy looks at the pink haired boy with hope in her eyes.

Having no one talking for a couple of minutes sure does create such an awkward atmosphere. Obviously the inmate can feel it too since he gets up without uttering a word and heads towards his cell block. Lucy feels terrible and defeated since the male rather go back into his confined cell then simply talk to a girl who seems the same age.
Seeing as he won't return anytime soon, Lucy accepts the fact and knows she can't do anything at the moment to change his mind.

"Sorry Miss Lucy, that pink haired idiot is really unreasonable at times, just give it some time and I'm sure he'll open up one day" Gildarts said positively with a smile.

"It's alright! I understand, I definitely won't stop trying until he can finally look at me in the eye rather than his own wrist" Lucy raises her fist in the air with pride and determination in the eyes.

"Anyway Gildarts, I have to go! See you all tomorrow" The blonde walks away with a smile on her face but deep down inside she feels unaccomplished.

To finally see Lucy's retreating figure, Gildarts makes his way to the pink haired male to give him a quick talk, sadly Gildarts cannot give him a quick beating but he'll be sure to make the conversation quite painful.

"Kid, why did you do that? She was only trying to be helpful and besides, why bother avoiding it. She's not going anywhere, she said so herself. I have to admit it. That girl has spunk. The determination in her eyes was extraordinary, all that for you kid. Be grateful" the brown haired Warden says

"I don't care, and I rather not bother with someone like her. That girl Luigi, whatever her name is" the inmate replies back with a gruff voice

"Old guys right flamehead. They are here to help us. The girl that was here to talk to me was creepy as fuck. But she had good intentions. Give whoever you're meant to talk with for 6 months give her a chance" a raven haired inmate said subconsciously

"I don't care you Ice prick, good intentions or not, I ain't going to talk to some chick about how my future will forever be here in this cell"
Having no clue on how to respond to that, they simply leave it there without speaking or looking to one another.

The pink haired inmate groaned and laid back down in his buck and started to think back to the 'conversation' he had with the female, though going back to think about the female. He certainly didn't look at her, maybe a glimpse, though he still wouldn't know her entire features.

Being the stubborn guy he is, he won't give into a conversation with her. Not even small talk
