So i'm re-watching season 1 of TW and realized just how deep this scene actually is. So here's my little take on it! Also to the readers of my other stories: I don't have my documents yet for my other stories since my computer completely died a while back but now I will be getting them soon so hopefully I will have everything updated within 2 weeks! Sorry for taking so long my lovelies but I swear I haven't given up on any of my stories.

"You're not in love Scott! You're 16, you're a child!"

Those words cut a little deeper than he had meant when he had yelled them in a fit of anger.

Because he really hadn't been yelling at Scott.

He'd been yelling at himself, at who he used to be, at stupid 16 year old Derek Hale. That idiotic little kid with spiked hair and oversized leather jackets. Stupid little Derek who grinned to widely when he saw the pretty college student that was going to be tutoring him in science. He never grinned like that and he shouldn't have, it opened him up to be hurt. And hurt he was. From that first meeting he was so vulnerable and she took advantage so easily.

Kate.

He was never told a last name but then he had never asked. She didn't seem to need one. Because to him she was just Kate. Beautiful, sarcastic, intelligent, and terrifying Kate.

The first time she kissed him he felt sick to his stomach. He told himself that it was just nerves, she was so experienced and so much older than him at 26 it made sense for him to be nervous. It never occurred to him that maybe some primal instinct had already sensed the danger and was screaming at him to run away.

The first time she touched him all he felt was ice. Cold, calloused hands that didn't feel like his fantasies. But he ignored it. Because there was this real, gorgeous woman in front of him and she swore that she loved him. So he told himself that he enjoyed it.

And he told himself that he loved her.

And when his family started getting worried and asking him if he was sure he felt alright he simply nodded and repeated the mantra that was becoming so tiresome in his head. 'I love her, I love her, I love her."

The first time she took him to bed he gritted his teeth and told himself that he must enjoy this. He was not a man if he did not enjoy this. And when she was asleep with a satisfied smile on her face he cried as quietly as he could.

Later he vowed to never cry over her or anyone else ever again.

And when his house and his family was burnt to the ground and his sister was holding him tightly he did not cry. He did not tell the truth. He did not go to tutoring the next day or ever again. And he vowed that if it was the last thing he did Kate would never go to sleep with a satisfied smile on her face ever again.

Hope you all liked it! Review and tell me what you think!
