JUST SO EVERYONE KNOWS, HARRY POTTER AND CO. DO NOT BELONG TO ME. ALL FLAMERS WILL BE USED TO LIGHT CAULDRONS IN PROFESSOR SNAPE'S CLASSROOMS. DON'T SUE ME, I HAVE NO MONEY!

Severus Snape was a bitter man. He was miserable, lonely, and depressed. The work of being a potions master was getting to him, and he was showing it. Fortunately, Headmaster Dumbledore noticed this, and suggested that he perhaps take a vacation.
"Absolutely not!"
"Please, Severus," Dumbledore persisted, "I'm worried about you. Take a vacation, I'll even pay you!"
Just a Severus was to again say no, a knock was heard on the door. Dumbledore got up from his desk to open it. In walked slim, pretty, Hermione Granger, with her long brown hair.
"Sir," Hermione began to Dumbledore, "I'll need your OK on my taking a week and a half off to drive across the United States to visit some relatives in California. Everything is all right with Professor McGonagal."
At once, Dumbledore's eyes began to twinkle. Severus anticipated the worst and tightened his grip on the chair that he was sitting in.
"Severus," he began, turning to face him, "I insist you accompany Miss Granger on her road trip. No questions asked. If you don't abide, I may be forced to reconsider your employment here at Hogwarts." With that, Dumbledore smiled broadly.
Severus and Hermione looked at each other, and looked away. Severus could hear Hermione stammering. Dumbledore paid no heed. Instead, he clapped his hands and exclaimed,
"Miss Granger, you undoubtedly have my permission for your little road trip, providing you take Professor Snape here with you. You can leave tomorrow, Apparate from Hogsmeade. If you have any troubles, you know how to contact me. I now bid you two good-day from my office."
Severus and Hermione silently walked out of Dumbledore's office. Together they walked down the hallway. It was Hermione who broke the tension.
"Err.....Professor, I'll meet you in the Great Hall entryway tomorrow after breakfast, then?"
Severus looked at her, and made a disgusted noise. Without a word, he swept down the hallway to his private quarters.
"Okay...then." Hermione walked down the opposite corridor to her Griffindor common room.

I KNOW THIS IS SHORT, BUT I DO NOT KNOW IF I SHOULD CONTINUE OR NOT. REVIEW! PLEASE, AND LET ME KNOW IF I SHOULD GO ON! ALSO, I AM GOING TO USE "SEVERUS" THROUGHOUT THIS STORY, THAT IS HIS FIRST NAME AFTER ALL. OF COURSE, HERMIONE WON'T BE CALLING HIM THAT. YET.
