Lily Evans removed her flaming red hair and buried her nose deeper in her book. Mmmm, reading, a huge passion to her. She felt eyes on her and looked up to meet the chocolate brown eyes of James Potter, her eyes instantly turned cold and she growled. Sirius, James' best friend shot them an amused glance and bounded over to Lily, smiling and flirting with every single girl on his way, the after effect of too much sugar. She grinned at him and scooted over on the couch giving him her undivided attention. "Hey Lils, what u doing?" He asked "Reading" She answered "No shit Sherlock," James shouted from across the room where he was regarding them (Or rather Lily) with a fierce glare. "Keep digging constipated Watson," she shouted back and then the glaring contest began. "Lily darling," Sirius interrupted, "will you go the upcoming ball with me." She giggled and gladly accepted then waited for what was gonna come next, when she didn't hear it, she shooed him away and buried her head back into her book, seemingly satisfied with her life at the moment. Fifth Year was great. James looked at Lily and sighed, he didn't understand why she hated him, well he used to hate her but now....every time he stared in her emerald eyes, he felt a stab go through his chest. Hate was a long gone feeling this was definitely something else. As if she could feel him staring, she looked up, her purple glasses framing her delicate eyes and frowned. He smiled the you-know-you-love-me- smile that usually brought girls running to his feet, she just gave him the middle finger and went back to her boook. No effect, damn, she had everything he wanted and he still had no effect on her, he would get her if it was the last thing he did.
