Idea: 4:29 PM

Enjoy.

They keep coming back here, some how someone's been placing a basket of strawberries on my doorstep for over a week. Each day, before I sit down and eat my dinner, I hear the doorbell ring. This is always at 4:29PM. Why 4:29, I don't know. I never see who does it, one time I was even going to wait outside, but I had to do the dishes and left my post. When I heard the doorbell ring at 4:29, I ran as fast I could to the front door. Gone. The person was no where. I searched outside, behind my bushes and the tall tree by my house. Whoever it was is gone.

Now I wait, the dishes clean, dinner cooked. Nothing can keep me from meeting this strange person. I sat by my door, careful for no one to see me outside. I heard it, the doorbell, 4:29 exactly. I sprang out of my seat and burst through the door. There it was.

I leaped onto the person, knocking him to the ground, shifting all my weight on top. "What are you doing here?" I tried talking in a normal, calm voice, but me shaking was making me sound different. He looked away from me, those beautiful yellow orbs, how golden they look with the light shining on them. His cheeks are slightly pink. His brown hair fell back between his ears.

"Umm, errm…" he stuttered as the shade of red on his cheeks turned darker. "Can you, umm, get off of me?" he said. I blushed deeply and I noticed the position we were in.

"oh, umm, sorry bout' that," I held out my hand to him, helping him up, "my name's-" suddenly I felt those lips latched onto mine, so confused. How confused I felt. My eyes seemed to bulge out of my head, but this kiss, it felt…right. Wrapping my arms around the man's neck. We separated, looking at each other, baffled.

"I'm so sorry, I-I-I-I got to' go!" he dashed away, running fast with that tint of red still covering his cheeks.

"Hey!" I yelled after him, stopping he turned around to me, "see you at 4:29PM tomorrow!" I called back. He smiled and nodded then walked away, probably back to his house. I sighed, happy. I can't wait for tomorrow. I thought untying my apron and taking out my barrette to allow my long hair to fall over my shoulders.

I can't wait until 4:29 PM.
