The Lunar Rose

By Hinata K. Kitsune

Summary:

Hinata Hyuga is fifteen going on sixteen and she has gained a lot of courage throughout her life; but is that enough? Naruto Uzumaki (the love of her life) hasn't even given her a second glance since he returned from training with Jaraiya for two and a half years and her father, Hiashi, has said nothing but rude remarks to her for almost a month. She doesn't have a clue what she did (whether or not she did anything at all). Hinata goes on a mission with her team and is told something she would rather not have. She gets fed up with everything and runs off. No one ever sees her again and her team informs Tsunade on this and certified Anbu are sent to search for her but come up empty after two months of searching. Naruto hears about the disappearance and fills with rage and worry at the same time (seeing as Hinata left unannounced and no where to be found just like Sasuke). But this other feeling of worry flowing through him is different than his worry for Sasuke; this feeling makes him even more confused and angry. Naruto tries and tries to get Lady Tsunade to allow him to go search for her but she tells him it is for the Anbu to look into and that Naruto should let them handle it. But, knowing Naruto, he doesn't like that idea too well. He ends up staying in his room (only going out to try to get Tsunade to let him go or eating at Ichiraku's) for a little over a year. Naruto refuses to let Tsunade call off the search for Hinata but she does anyway and Naruto overflows with anger. He ends up sneaking out of the village one night and runs off in search of Hinata. Will his attempt to find his friend succeed? And if it does, what will happen when he confronts her?
