Saix yawned. Loudly. He was exhausted from the past few days, working constantly with Xemnas. He hadn't slept in 56 hours, not that he was keeping track or anything.
"Ahem!" Xemnas cleared his throat loudly. "Am I boring you Saix?"
Saix mentally slapped himself. "No Superior. I'm sorry, I haven't been sleeping lately."
"Really?" Xemnas raised an eyebrow in response. "That's not healthy. I would expect you of all people to know that Saix." He sighed. "We shall continue this tomorrow. You may go."
Saix rose and placed his papers on a corner of the desk, where they would not be drawn into the chaos of papers and files. "Goodnight Superior."
Xemnas lazily waved a hand in response and continued working. However, not long afterwards, he felt sleep creeping upon him. Sighing, he abandoned his desk and portaled to his room. He removed his cloak and trousers and climbed under the luminescent sheets. He really had to think about redecorating.

Xemnas snapped his eyes open, panting. Those images had begun haunting his dreams again. The face of a man. Tanned skin and burning amber eyes. Who was he? Was he connected to his past? But the things he had done. So many people he'd killed. He had seen that for himself. A man, strongly resembling Roxas had attacked and been killed. He had watched as the life in those glittering blue eyes had been destroyed. He had watched as those eyes had turned to glass. It was like watching the life being taken from Roxas. It was painful. And perhaps worst was watching him fall to the arms of his love, the ghost of a feeling tugging at his non-existant heart, making him "feel" something he couldn't remember.

Saix was concerned. He hadn't seen the Superior since they parted the previous evening. He had now missed breakfast and lunch, behaviour most unlike the dilligent Superior they all knew.
Opening a portal to the Superior's study, Saix raised his hand and rapped on the door with his knuckles. When he recieved no answer he pushed the door open and stepped inside. The room was empty. Saix cocked his head as his gaze fell on the desk, clearly abandoned by the Superior. Saix picked up the top sheet. 'Xemnas was working on this when I left. He must have gone to bed not long after myself.' he placed the sheet back in its original position and raised his hand, creating a portal to Xemnas' room.
He squinted into the darkness. "Superior?"
Noticing a man-sized bulge on the bed, Saix walked over and gasped. Xemnas was curled in a foetal ball, hugging his arms to his chest and his eyes wide and unblinking. 'What could have happened to make him so, broken?'
Saix felt something latch onto his waist. He looked down and saw Xemnas, with his arms wrapped tightly around the diviner. Saix sat and pulled the tanned male into a tender hug. Xemnas merely whimpered and clung tighter, sobbing gently.

It was well past dinner when Xemnas had calmed down enough to fall asleep. Saix had stayed by his side, watching the steady rise and fall of his chest and his mouth twitch into a smile as his mind played some happy memory to him while he slept. The luna diviner reached forward and brushed the thick, silver bangs from Xemnas' face. He chuckled as Xemnas frowned slightly.
Saix leaned down and placed the gentlest of kisses on Xemnas' lips.
"Goodnight Superior."
