Shopping: Alice's Diary

Shopping.

The best word ever. My favorite pastime. Even if it's not for me, I enjoy it. It doesn't matter what I'm shopping for, just that I am. Just the word makes me happy.

Just choosing something and seeing what it would be used for if I bought it is enough entertainment to make going an attractive idea. For instance, a large funnel. I immediately see Rosalie changing car fluids, Bella cooking an apparently delicious meal, or Emmett putting it on his head and dancing like a drunken monkey to cheer up Jasper on a bad day.

And clothes. Don't even get me started on them. There's so much to choose from, so many styles! Men's, Women's Junior's, suits, dresses, blouses, jackets, shorts, skirts, jeans, pajamas, coats. . .

It's so much fun to walk into a store, see a hundred potential outfits, and not even have to try them on me or anyone I'm dragging along. I (or my drag-ees) simply decide to try them on and I know.

The cahiers and workers are so entertaining. They look confused when I purchase seemingly random items without even appearing to look at them, but they know better than to ask, as they seem to think that people with enough money to buy the large pile of clothing can afford to be a little strange.

Their reactions to my credit cards are just priceless. They make me glad I can store their expressions in my memory forever, to replay later when I'm bored.

Bella is my favorite person to shop for. She has no idea what a new set of clothes could do for her. I really need to take over her closet sometime. Until I get that permission, I will slowly replace her worn outfits with perfectly fitting designer ones.

If only she would accept more gifts! I'd be halfway through her wardrobe by now. Thankfully, Edward lets her shop with me, taking her out to eat when I check out, so she doesn't freak about the prices.

I can't wait until she joins us permanently. Then she has no excuse to not let me buy her things. Only a few more months!

Why, even earlier, now that I can do the wedding! I love weddings. They require a ton of shopping. Flowers, food (since it's Bella's wedding), clothes, tables, chairs, bubbles, lights, candles. . . I can't wait!

I wish Bella would tell me who she's choosing as bridesmaids; I could look for dresses. Not the same ones, of course. That's so passé. Just from the same era: Edward's.

So much to plan. So much shopping! I'm going to explode. I have to go get Bella. We need to go shopping!
