-Hey guys, so I'm going to write a Katie x Travis one shot. Probably be quite short.-
Travis strolled along the beach humming happily to himself. He'd just gotten Katie to agree to a date with him! She was sitting up on a pile of rocks that lead off into the sea and was gazing up at the sky. Travis felt his heart flutter at the sight of her.
Her hair was loosely flowing down her back and she had all sorts of different flowers weaved into it. She was wearing a pale green sundress with pale pink flowers dotted over it and sandals with vines for straps that crept up her legs. She turned her soft brown eyes on him and her beautiful face split into a smile.
Travis raised his face into a crooked one sided smile. Just from looking at him, you wouldn't be able to tell he was nervous.
Katie slowly rose to her feet. Travis gently took her hand,
"This way." He whispered. Leading her further down along the beach.
The sun was setting as they walked. Casting a rosey glow over the beach and painting the sky magnificent colours of red, orange and yellow. The soft, fine sand made their feet sink in and it was difficult to walk.
"Close your eyes." Travis told her. She fluttered them closed.
"This had better not be a trick, Travis." She teased.
"When have I ever?" He asked innocently. Katie giggled, hitting his arm.
He pulled around some rocks and whispered "open."
Katie gasped in surpirse. There was a picnic blanket set out and on it was an array of delicious food. There was bowls of strawberries and cream, platters of sandwiches -all with different fillings- plates of crisps and cakes. There were tarts and pies and a huge bowl of salad. There were sausage rolls and cocktail sausages, fruit pieces pierced on sticks. There was a platter dedicated to cold slices of meat.
And in the centre of it all was a huge chocolate cake with the words 'be me girlfriend?' Written in pink frosting. Kate's hands covered her mouth with a gasp.
"So..." Travis began. "Will you be my girlfriend?"
Katie nodded. "Yes." She breathed. Travis smiled in relief, pulling Katie to the picnic. They gazed into each others eyes as they dug in.
