When she first met him, she was wiling to give up her entire life just to travel through space and time with him. Nothing seemed important. Not Rory. Not her family. Nothing but that raggedy man who she had dreamt about for years. The same man who came to her in her loneliest hour. And just as he had arrived, he disappeared. For years until the night before her wedding. But as she and Rory traveled through space, she fell even more deeply in love with him. She realized through their adventures, through losing him time and time again, there was no one as faithful, as strong, and as loyal as Rory Williams.

He spent over two thousand years waiting for her, protecting her tomb. He waited as though his life depended on it. For Rory, it did. For Rory, she was his life. And while she may not have known it then, he was hers.

Their hands entwined together, starring at the edge of that building. They knew that two things would happen then and there: they would plummet to their death or they would save not only their lives, but the lives of their friends as well. They didn't know which one it would be, but they knew they would find out together. And so they fell, and while they thought that they had prevailed, they would soon realize that once an Angel left it's mark on you, you could never escape.

In the graveyard they stood, happy despite surrounded by death. It wasn't until Rory caught glance of his name written on a tomb that he lost focus. "Amy, come and look at this." Amy's eyes focused on his, not realizing what lurked behind him. In an instant he was gone. One second was all it took. One second before her life was ripped away from her.

She knew what she would have to do. In that instant, she turned to look at the Doctor. Her oldest friend, baring her goodbyes. But this time, it was for her life. This time, her goodbyes were meant for him and not Rory. Not her family. Everything else seemed more important. She would give up the life she enjoyed, if it meant living a life she enjoyed with Rory.

But what many failed to realize about the Doctor was that while he wasn't human, he did love. He felt lose. And there were times when he would be greedy. He had lost so many in the past. Friends. Lovers. Red hair reminded him of Donna, a woman who could not remember who, for if she remembered she would perish. Youth and Stubborness reminded him of Rose, who he was forced to abandon on a beach, to live out her life with something better than him. He had lost so many. He would not lose her like he had so many before her.

With River's eyes focused on the Angel, he was able to drag her back into the TARDIS despite her struggles. She pleaded with him to let her go, but he refused, clinging onto her. It was selfish of him, to want her to stay so badly. But he had to. Once River was inside of the TARDIS, Amy screams silenced the sound of the warps. It wasn't until they landed yet again that she broke free, ran to the door.

Opening it, she found herself in an entirely different country. Grass for miles around. "You take me back!" She turned to the Doctor. Once love and admiration that filled her eyes were now burning with hatred and tears.

Eleven looked down, his boots kicking the grass beneath his feet. "I hate you," she whispered. "Take me back! Now!

"It's too late." It was all he said. He expected her to lash out, to strike him. He would have preffered her to do so, but instead she fell to her knees, her arms wrapping around her body for warmth as she cried for a man she would never see again. Who had loved her and sacrificed for her every day, and would grow alone and die without her.
