"Psst. Edward. Come here."

"What?" Edward whispered.

"Look," Emmett said as he pointed to a large grizzly bear lying motionless in the small clearing of trees. "Is it sleeping?"

"How should I know?" Edward asked, annoyed.

"Tell me what it's thinking. If it's dreaming or something."

"I can't read an animal's mind." Edward said irritably.

"Well then. Then. Go, go... Go poke it."

"You go poke it. It's your lunch."

"I can't. It's too big." Emmett whined. "You poke it. Please?"

Edward rolled his eyes and walked away.

"Wait! Come back! Where are you going? You're not going to tell Alice about this are you?"
