Prologue:

Mei ran through the trees quickly, it was her only chance. Some men were after her for god knows what. Some man by the name of Orochimaru, and one called Sasori. She had lied to them, and they most certainly didn't like that one bit, not one.

Flashback:

Orochimaru stared down at the short girl, her red eyes flashing angrily up at him. The green hair on her head dropped down lightly to her chest, she looked like she was ten. Hard to believe she was fifteen, but then again, Sasori was almost fifty himself but he had the body of a fifteen year old.

"Sasori... Is she the one?"

The red head looked at his counter part then down at the girl, "...Yes."

Her eyes didn't focus on the black-haired man as he grabbed her roughly. The next thing she knew she was tossed over his shoulder and being carried out of the small hut that she had made her home.

"Put me down!" Mei screamed loudly.

Orochimaru laughed, "I think not child."

They walked for what felt like hours. Sasori took note that Mei stared off into space her eyes never locked on nothing in specific. Finally his curiousity got the best of him.

"What is wrong with your eyes?"

"...I'm blind."

After that there wasn't very much conversation. They walked on and on and on. It seemed like a never ending trail.

Orochimaru grunted and shifted her around on his shoulder, "You could have picked a lighter puppet Sasori..."

"Perhaps..." The red head muttered, looking at Mei for a short while.

"But..." Orochimaru muttered, looking at her bottom and licking his lips, "she could be fun..."

"I'm blind not deaf!" She snapped quickly, a few green locks flying in her mouth.

Orochimaru smirked and shook her roughly, causing her to scream. Mei tried to scream again but failed as she was gagged. The snake-like man smirked and smiled at her as he dropped her on the ground.

"Be gentle, Orochimaru..." Sasori muttered, but not loud enough...

That was when she had made her run for it. She wasn't going to let herself get eaten by the ninja or something! The man scared her, but then again who wouldn't he scare?

Mei cried out as she was grabbed from behind and Orochimaru appeared in front of her.

Sasori leaned in and whispered into her ear, "You will never escape me, my puppet."

End Prologue

Mei smiled sadly through her tears as Tobi walked with her. It was hard to believe that the puppet she knew, no, the man she loved, was dead. All because of a certain pink-haired Konoha Kunoichi. She had watched him die, watched him utter his last words to the other female. Truth was, she'd never thought that he would leave her. Especially when she still hadn't told him...

"Look Mei-chan! It's Sasori-senpai!" Tobi exclaimed as he ran over to the puppet.

Mei nodded sadly, "Uh huh..."

Tobi pulled the ring from her man's finger and tossed it in the air, "Guess this means Tobi can join Akatsuki as a real member, huh?"

"Sure Tobi..."

Mei ignored him as she dropped to her knees in front of her man. Brushing his red hair back and whipping the blood from his cold lips she bent down and kissed him gently. Sadly she couldn't hold back her tears as Tobi pulled her from the man's body.

She snapped her head around, long green hair flowing, "I love you Sasori! I'm pregnant! I won't let anything happen to our baby!"

"Tobi will protect Mei-chan and Baby-chan!" Tobi screamed behind himself but continued to pull Mei away from her lover.

She smiled at him, "Thank you Tobi, for everything..."

Tobi looked down at the short woman as she cuddled up against him and smirked behind his mask, the only thing left for her was death, he would easily get rid of her...
