Winnie the Pooh was created by A. A. Milne and belongs to Disney.

The moon was up,

The stars were bright.

They were ready;

It was Christmas night.

-------------------------

He looked out the window,

His expression excited.

"It's coming, it's coming:

the snow, the white snow."

-------------------------

Tigger bounded forth,

His tail sproinging.

Said he to Pooh,

"The star up north."

-------------------------

Pooh glanced up,

Starlight on his nose.

He wriggled chubby toes.

"The season is upon us; it's so near.

The snow is falling – oh dear, oh dear!"

-------------------------

Piglet rose on tip-toe

To see through the window

Happily, he hopped up and down.

"Santa Claus is coming to town."

-------------------------

"It's so bright,"

Rabbit said, his expression wise.

"Everything is white;

So pretty are the skies."

-------------------------

At this point, they ceased to stargaze,

Allowing Eeyore to welcome the next phase.

The donkey walked in, equipped with a thistle.

Presently he dropped it and gave out a whistle.

-------------------------

The presents were wrapped,

The pudding was baked.

The road was mapped,

Arrangements were made.

-------------------------

Christopher Robin then appeared,

Smiling happily as the Yuletide came near.

They served a feast so right and regal,

Ultimately royal and none the least frugal.

-------------------------

Puddings, cakes, chips and fish,

Tarts and sweets, chocolate treats.

Dish and dish after dish and dish,

Pies and fruit, succulent sweetmeats.

-------------------------

They were all nodding off

When he flew past the door.

With a smile, he dropped to the floor.

-------------------------

The stockings filled,

The bags most bulging.

He left that night by sleigh,

To come again next Christmas Day.

-------------------------

Pooh awoke, jumping from his chair.

His stocking was filled with presents fair.

"We shan't have to find him ourselves.

Santa Claus has come and filled our shelves!"

-------------------------

Kanga bounded forward, tail thwacking.

She smiled and presents began unpacking.

"Peace be on you, Pooh, this midwinter's morn.

The bell has sounded – now blow the Christmas horn!"
