Square-framed eyes
An often goofy grin across his face
There when you needed him

A constant father figure

But some hopes are far too high

To end the conversationwith slamming down the phone
And a good, though mad
"Give it a rest!"
The proudest of fathers
Always showing off his daughter
No matter how many times he'd done it already
Never backing down
When told to put the picture away
Never afraid to brag some more
In every kind of way
About his beautiful daughter
Or how cute she looked this day
But no more
No more bragging about cute daughters
No more nagging about a wife
No more stupid moments
No more fatherly advice
