Forgotten Bliss
Prologue

He sat there and looked at me with lost eyes. It was unbearable to look at his face as he opened his mouth to speak some words. "Stop!" I shouted not wanting to hear anything that was to come out of his mouth. I switched my focus to the wooden floor and tightened my grip on the hem of my skirt. "...stop.." I whisper. He questions my words and decides to lay a delicate hand on my shoulder, I shrug it off fiercely as tears start to brim my eyes. My body begins to shake as small whimpers escape my lips.
Out of the corner of my eyes I can see his red orbs staring at me with an annoyed expression plastered on his face. I was nothing but a pitiful human crying tears of sorrow that meant nothing to him. He spoke more words to me, angry ones, but I could not comprehend any of them. As each word left his lips, his mind, I could see all the loving memories we shared slipping with them. They each disappeared into the nothingness and were never to be returned. I looked up and decided to look at the mirror that was placed in front of me, over a wooden dresser. I wanted to see the face of the creature I had become. My brown eyes were tear stricken as well as red and puffy, while my face showed no sign of color. He spoke again.
"Stop...no..." I again speak as I twisted my head to look up at him. "Woman...who-"
I quickly ran off not wanting to hear the rest of the sentence. I didn't expect to hear my name being called...for I knew he had no idea who I was. My name was forgotten. The last thing I want to hear from the one I love is "Who are you...". Repeating those words in my mind brings pain to my heart.
I had reached the end of the hallway and turned to see if the others were around the corner. As I expected they had left already. I ran quick fingers through my hair, and rubbed and wiped my eyes dry. "Is it over...is it over now...?" I asked myself as I reached the glass doors and opened them with a swift motion. "Has our bliss...been forgotten...?"
I reached my car door and saw my reflection on the window. I grimaced at the girl who stared back at me. "Or was it...always meant to be forgotten to begin with? Why did this happen!!!!" I shouted falling to my knees. I leaned forward and rested my head on the cool metal of my car. As I closed my eyes my lips parted to say one sentence. "My name is Keiko...please remember...my name is...Keiko..."
