Disclaimer:Any relation, be it big or small, in any way to any fic that exists out there anywhere is merely a coincidence and if I have inadvertently done so it is without any prior knowledge and I mean no one any harm or malcontent. And i DO NOT own the song or any of the characters. I just borrowed them for a bit. Oh, and sorry to all the Alicia Peter fans out there :P
"I remember when we broke up the first time. Saying, 'This is it, I've had enough,' 'cause like We haven't seen each other in a month, when you said you needed space. What?" Alicia can remember clearly the first time she ad Peter broke up. She was in law school, and Peter had been "busy" and he hadn't seen her in a month, then he called her to say he needed space. he called her. He didn't bother to say it in person. He called her. "Then you come around again and say, 'Baby, I miss you and I swear I'm gonna change.' Trust me. Remember how that lasted for a day? I say, I hate you, we break up, you call me, I love you." He'd called her, again, to say he was sorry. She'd taken him back, reluctantly, only because she needed someone. Or so she thought. "Oooh we called it off again last night. But Oooh, this time I'm telling you, I'm telling you..." She remembered when they'd gotten married, she thought they'd finally be together forever, and she'd felt even more reassured when she'd had the kids. But when she found out about his multiple affairs, she knew she was wrong. "We are never ever ever getting back together. We, are never ever ever getting back together. You go talk to your friends, talk to my friends, talk to me. But we are never ever ever ever getting back together. Like ever..." She never wanted to be with him ever again
"I'm really gonna miss you picking fights. And me, falling for a screaming that I'm right. And you, will hide away and find your piece of mind with some indie record that's much cooler than mine." She hated the way he'd always pick fights with her and try to make seem it like it was her fault, even when they argued about his affair, and then put in his headphones and turn up his music so loud he couldn't hear her when she tried to get a word in edgewise. "Oooh you called me up again tonight. But Oooh, this time I'm telling you, I'm telling you..." He'd called her again, just a few minutes ago, and she knew exactly what he wanted. He wanted to get back together. "We are never ever ever getting back together. We, are never ever ever getting back together. You go talk to your friends, talk to my friends, talk to me. But we, are never ever ever ever getting back together." She was tired of his constant advances, his always wanting to get back together. "I used to think, that we, were forever ever ever. And I used to say never say never... Huh, so he calls me up and he's like, 'I still love you' And I'm like, I'm just, I mean this is exhausting, you know? Like, we are never getting back together, like ever. We are never ever ever getting back together. We, are never ever ever getting back together. You go talk to your friends, talk to my friends, talk to me. But we are never ever ever ever getting back together. We, oooh, oooh, not back together, we... oh, getting back together. You go talk to your friends, talk to my friends, talk to me. But we, are never ever ever ever... getting back together." Next time he called, she'd tell him off. For good.
