A/N: Okay, I finally got the time to type this! This is just something I thought would be fun to write. You don't know the pairings until the end, which is how I wanted to make this story. But then again, it probably isn't hard to guess if you've seen my bio. Or any of my storys for that matter. Anyway, in this story, Toph is 20, Aang is 20, Katara is 22, and Zuko is 24. Oh, and Zuko's son, Iroh, (I thought that would be a good name since Iroh is like Zuko's father) is 4. Enjoy!
Married Life
Katara and Toph had left their husbands to talk quietly in a room. Aang and Zuko didn't mind though. They rarely got to talk alone, whereas Aang was constantly settling feuds and trying to keep the peace while Zuko was always being followed by some member of his council and pressured to sign mutiple documents. The men sat comfortably in a chair while discussing the new addition to the royal Fire Nation family.
"So, you're son isn't a firebender?" Aang was curious of how the Fire Nation would react to a Fire Lord that doesn't bend. Or worse, bended his mother's element. . .
"Not that we know of. I haven't seen any signs, and no one has mentioned any bending, but that doesn't matter. Iroh is going to grow up to be Fire Lord. I am very proud of how smart he is, but he has an attitude like his mother!" Zuko smirked. He loved his wife, but she had a temper.
"Don't talk to me about attitude! My wife has been more moody than usual lately. . .but that doesn't matter. Where is little Iroh?" Aang looked around.
"He's with his grandpa, big Iroh. I was swarmed by my council and my wife had run off with yours to some place, so Iroh offered to watch him."
"Oh." was all Aang could say. Katara and Toph then walked into the room to greet their husbands. Both boys didn't know what to think of their wives' faces. Katara's face was a mixture of excitement and fear. Toph's was pure amusement. They knew something their husbands didn't know. The girls glanced at each other. Katara shifted uncomfortably.
"Is there something you want to tell us?" Zuko asked, raising an eyebrow. Toph grinned.
"So, Katara. Do you want to tell them or should I?"
"I think I should tell them." Katara turned to face the men, who were now shifting in their seats. She took a deep breath. "Well, Toph and I visited Aunt Wu today. She told us a few things and . . ." She stopped. She couldn't say it. "And. . ."
Toph noticed how uncomfortable the boys were getting and Katara couldn't tell them the news, so she spoke up.
"And we found out that we are pregnant."
Thump.
Katara's husband fainted. Toph's husband smiled. One husband down, now all they needed was to get through the last part. Katara looked at Toph, and Toph could feel her stares.
"Alright, alright, I'll tell him." Toph took her husband's hand and smiled. "Honey. . .Little Iroh is gonna be a firebender."
Thump.
Toph's husband fainted. She turned to Katara.
"I'm glad that went well!" Katara stared at the two men on the floor, out cold, and shook her head. This was when little Iroh came bouncing in the room, his black hair falling over his golden eyes. He ran to Toph.
"Mommy!" Little Iroh reached up and Toph took him into her arms. He looked down at his father and Uncle Aang. "Mommy, why is Daddy sleeping?"
A/N: Yes! Toko and Kataang! (And everyone probably guessed it from the start, but that's okay!) It's probably not my best work, but it was something in my head. Review and tell me what you think! Now, I gotta go to bed before my mom kills me. Ta ta!
