Really random. The characters are not mine.
Note: Godo is a little...okay, REALLY...ooc. Sorry.

"Yuffie?"
"Nnn?"
"...How old are you turning, daughter of mine?" asked the man in front of her. He was leaning casually against the regal doorpost, hands crossed in front of his chest. Said daughter-age sixteen, thank you-turned around, her mauve eyes casually turning from her brand-new black headband to her father.
"...Sixteen," she replied. Her eyes narrowed suspiciously. "Why?" The question came too late. Her dad had spiraled into his 'reminiscence of her childhood' mode.
"Oh, dear daughter...I remember when you were six, you tugged on my sleeve and said, 'Daddy? When I'm exactly sixteen years old, I wanna go and explore the outside world, mmkay? You can't stop me!' And I, being a fool, had agreed..." Godo Kisaragi put a hand to his forehead, sighing dramatically.
"...Dad, I--" Yuffie started.
"OH, THE SORROW! I'm so sorry you are leaving me, dear child...WELL!" he said suddenly, clapping his hands and grabbing his daughter by the arm. "It seems that you are a little late to go out and start exploring the world, ne?" Godo hurriedly rushed towards the front door, grabbing a suitcase that just seemed too convenient to be unplanned. "I've packed all your necessities and put some more money in here, although you've probably become SUCH an accomplished thief by now, so--"
"Dad, what are you--" Yuffie began.
"Oh, I love you too, honey, but if we stretch this goodbye out for a long time, we won't ever be able to part! I'll be sure to tell your mother that you're safe when she gets back home. Goodbye, Yuffie! I'm so proud of you! Make sure to visit me once a year!" Godo called, and slammed the door.
Yuffie raised an eyebrow, trying to replay what just happened.
One. Dad talks to Yuffie. CHECK!
Two. Dad spirals into 'reminiscence of her childhood' mode. CHECK!
Three. Dad grabs suitcase and kicks Yuffie out.
A buzzer noise rang out in Yuffie's head as she winced, feeling cold, hard, wet, GRIMY cement through her shorts. Standing up, she shot one last confused look towards her home-er, ex-home?-and brushed herself off. Growling, Yuffie Kisaragi set off on her first day-and last-day alone.
