Sharpay Evans walked (actually kind of strutted) down the center of the hallway, her brother Ryan following closely behind. Students cleared the way, trying to stay out of her way.
"Gabbbbbiiiii!" Sharpay screamed, stopping suddenly in the middle of the hall. Ryan crashed into her from behind, and his lime green hat fell off his head. He scrambled to the ground to pick it back up. Sharpay groaned at her brother, and began walking down the hall again, this time towards the gym
She'll be there, Sharpay thought to herself. Hanging out with all her little basketball friends.
And Sharpay was right. As she dashed into the gym, her heels clicking against the floor, there was Gabriella Montez, cheering on her old boyfriend Troy. Sharpay sneered at Gabriella, and strode over to Troy.
"Hey Troy!" She said, hugging him. Out of the corner of her eye she spotted Gabriella, who was staring sadly at them. "So Troy…I have something special planned for tonight..."
Gabriella frowned, and turned around to see Ryan walking in. She walked over. "Hey Ryan."
"Hey Gabi. You know, I am feeling really annoyed right now," he replied.
"Me too," Gabriella said, watching Troy and Sharpay leave the gym. "I can't believe I broke up with Troy."
"I can't believe Sharpay's going out with Troy. Hey- did you know that Sharpay went off and got herself a hotel room with her new credit card?" Ryan asked, trying not to look Gabi in the eye.
"You aren't serious!" Gabriella felt her eyes fill up with tears, and she quickly left the gym, not looking back at Ryan.
