Kelsi Nielsen loved epiphanies. They made the whole play better and gave the viewer a sense of insight at the end. The only problem was, they were hard to think of. And that was why she was sprawled across the floor, with her laptop in front of her, trying to create a realistic epiphany for the character Minnie in her musical Twinkle Towne. It looked like she was hard at work. In reality, she was watching the movie Mulan on YouTube, taking a break, except that her "break" had lasted about forty-five minutes. She was interrupted by her ringing cell phone.

"Hello?"

"Hey," an unidentified male voice said. "Is this Kelsi? It's Ryan Evans."

"Oh, um," Kelsi said. What was Ryan Evans calling her for? As much as Kelsi knew that it was impossible, she couldn't help harboring a small crush on him. Sure, his sister was Sharpay, but still. "Hey. Is there something wrong with your music?"

"No, no, it's not that," Ryan said. "Is this a bad time for you? Because I was wondering if you're doing anything now. My car, um, ran out of gas and I'm kind of stuck on the highway. And then I thought, Kelsi lives near here! Thank goodness I had your number on my phone."

"It's really no problem," Kelsi assured him. "So, where are you again?"

"I'm right near Exit 23. There're a McDonalds and Baskin-Robbins nearby. I'm really sorry. I swear I'll pay you back somehow."

"It's fine," Kelsi said. She paused the movie right as Mulan was saving Shang from the avalanche. "Don't move, okay? I'll be there in ten minutes or so."

"Thank you so much. I owe you one."

"Don't mention it. See you soon." She grabbed her keys and ran out the door, tossing a quick "bye" to her parents. As she pulled out of the driveway, she realized something she never really took notice of before: Mulan had saved Shang. Not every princess needed a knight in shining armor. And sometimes, he might be the one who needed her.

Did she mention she loved epiphanies?
