Prologue
My red hair flew all around me as I sat at the docks on a windy day. I looked out onto the bay as my father, Triton, was giving orders to his fishermen in the distance. I smiled for what seemed like the first time in years, because I found my real family finally. But my mind keep going back to him.
I thought after the curse was broken, he would come here, to Storybrooke, and save me but that was just a foolish daydream. I hoped he was alright. If he wasn't everything I did for him was in vain. If only I hadn't come here, things could be different. After the curse was broken, I still hadn't gotten my voice back but I was fine with that as long as he was alright. I still remember the day I had to do that to save his life.
But let's start at the beginning of our tale, shall we. It started many years ago in Fairytale land.
-(A/N) The title comes from my favorite song from Love Never Dies, the sequel to The Phantom of the Opera. I will post the full lyrics at the end of the story. But the reason why I choose the song was because it seemed perfect for Hook and Ariel due to the fact it's the Phantom singing it about his love, Christine. Happy Thanksgiving.
