The ring of holy fire had been a surprise for Gabriel, even more so then the fact that the two hunters had gotten teh drop on him, so much so that he backed away from the flames as they licked at the air before him.

Somewhere in the back of him mind there was a voice that sounded strangely like his eldest brother telling him to stop backing up lest he step back into the flames behind him and hurt himself.

Gabriel was much too used to telling that voice to shut up instead of listening to it, and so, ignoring that voice in teh back of his head he kept backing up.

The shriek that filled the warehouse was enough that it shook the very building to its core. Gabriel arched his back and his eyes were wide with agony as he screamed, throwing himself around and tore at his jacket as it was lit in a bright flash.

It wasn't just his jacket though.

No it was so much worse.

Castiel stared at him in haunting shock as he stepped forward and raised his hand to make a grab for the archangel. Gabriel spun on him, eyes gleaming dangerously, voice rocking the ground under them and he caught the other angels wrist in hand so tightly that the bones under his fingers snapped effortlessly.

"Don't touch me."

The Seraph backed down under the order of an Archangel and bowed his head to his will. Gabriel reached behind him and hissed, trying to reach for the burnt appendage only the angels could see. Castiel sucked in a breath at the sight of it but held his tongue when Gabriel sent him a glowing glare.

Gabriel clenched his fists tightly and looked to the sky, giving in to his need for help, and screamed so loud that it made the humans ears bleed slowly.

Then a bright light filled the room.

"Mike! Mike it hurts! It hurts so bad!"

Gabriel looked up as the light became blinding, and reached up blindingly.

"Please!"

...

Gabriel could barely react before he was being laid down forcibly on a medical table, on his stomach, and hands were tugging at his jacket and shirt.

"Get this off of him so I may see what I am working with."

Golden eyes turned up to peer up at whomever it was pulling at his top. Raphael was in full medic mode, older brother mode competely tagged on there too, and he whined lowly at the pain that was so great it was starting to simply go numb.

"What on Earth happened to him!"

Hands were holding him down as they finally got his burnt wing unfolded and Raphael sifted over the burnt skin. He wasn't sure why he was being held down so forcibly until those hands sifted over his burned skin and he arched sharply, screaming and clawing to get away.

Or better yet, get those hands away.

He fought against them hand and foot as his jacket was finally torn free and his shirt soon following

"Keep him still!"

There was a clanging sound as Michael undoubtedly shed his sword and leathers and Gabriel was only able to lift about half way away from the table before hands were clamping around his shoulders and forcing him back down.

"How did he come about such an injury?"

Something cold is being spread along the burning skin and it feels overwhelmingly good.

"That angel, Castiel?, and his humans. They had him trapped inside a circle of Holy Fire like some common criminal."

Gabriel's going in and out, he's trying to tell them that it hurts and that he wants it to stop hurting, please and thank you, but no words can get out. All that manages is a set of whimpers and soft cries.
