There was a stirring in the bed beside her. Mulan had a few weeks to get used to this. Before that, she had always slept alone, had gotten used to being lonely. Now she had Tinkerbell. It was unsaid when they no longer had separate beds. It had been not long after they started their friends with benefits arrangement that they would sleep in Tinkerbell's bed, as it was larger, and somehow it became their room. There was no hesitance at night whether Mulan stayed in her room. She just followed after Tinkerbell, stripped into pajamas or nothing at all, and let her body mold into the fairy's.
On this particular morning, the rain was being thrown harshly against the window, and Mulan was glad Tinkerbell didn't have to work that day at the elementary school, since she too had nothing to do that day. It was her day off from the stables. She felt more movement next to her, and an arm slide over her bare stomach. She hears then the sigh in her ear, and she turns over on her other side. Tinkerbell isn't quite awake, and Mulan's chest stirred to know that even in sleep the blonde reached for her.
'I love you,' she thinks to the other woman. It was something she hadn't the courage to say out loud. She wasn't sure it was wise to feel this way for Tinkerbell, but as some of their kisses became slower, their time in bed less hurried, Mulan couldn't help it. Maybe she was only making a mistake by staying quiet again, or maybe she could be making the mistake should she ever admit her feelings for the blonde out loud. She took the blonde into her and she promised herself she would tell Tinkerbell before it was too late, but she just couldn't risk this moment they were having right now…
