Aaron and Roy
Disclaimer: I don't own Primal Fear, it was written by William Deihl.
"H- help me, R- Roy!" Aaron cried as he stammered.
"What the hell do you want from me?" Roy was asleep when he heard the young man calling his name.
He slowly opened his eyes and rolled to his side only to find a sobbing Aaron on his knees, but he couldn't understand what was he babbling about.
Roy was furious, he hated seeing Aaron acting like a small child.
"Quit your crying I can't understand a goddamned word you're sayin'!"
"B- but Roy! H- he's gonna h- hurt m-me. Oh, God!"
"You little sissy, you make me sick!"
"P- please, help me."
Suddenly there was a sharp pain on his cheek. Aaron was in shock, Roy had just slapped him across the face. He never did that before.
He raised his hand up to his reddened cheek as he rubbed it. Tears were streaming down his face.
"Why, R- Roy? W- why did y- you hit me?"
Roy angerly grabbed him by the collar of his T-shirt and rolled his hand into a fist.
"Shut your mouth you little girl! I otta give you a beating on principal!" Roy hissed at Aaron who lifted both hands to shield his face from his friend's blows.
"I-I beg you, p-please d-don't h-hit me again…" Aaron bawled like a baby, he felt vulnerable and unable to defend himself from those who tormented him over the years.
Roy sighed and released his grip on Aaron's T-shirt causing him to move away from him and huddle in a corner so he could cry alone. He was like a little boy who got punished by his dad.
Aaron hugged his knees while he prayed to himself. He was unaware of Roy's presence who sat next to him as he gently removed Aaron's trembling hands from his flushed tear-stained face.
"Don't worry. I ain't gonna hit you, Aaron." Roy spoke softly.
Aaron couldn't believe what he just heard.
"Will you forgive me?"
"Y-yes of c-course, Roy." He gently wiped his tears with the back of his hand.
Roy gave Aaron a warm smile as he playfully pinched his cheek. Aaron returned the smile and lowered his head blushing. He then helped him stand on his own feet.
"I'll always protect you, Aaron no matter what." Roy assured his friend.
"Th- thanks, Roy." Aaron threw his arms around him. They were both embracing each other and for the first time he felt safe in his friend's arms.
