Simply a prologue, please review if you would like me to continue this, thank you!

It was always the same. Darkness and fear. She was terrified and she didn't know why.

Whimpers that weren't hers echoed around the tiny room and no matter how long she looked she found no one else there. Sometimes she'd hear sobbing, wailing, crying that sounded like a child's.

The door opened and the sobbing silenced. She was trembling for some reason. The dark man entered and growled lowly like a caged beast.

'I'm sorry! Please no!'

That was all she could think as the Gerudian male approached in his hand a terrifying device she could recognize as a whip.

"No stop please!" Zelda sat straight up in her bed, her hand out to protect herself from invisible enemies.

Impa was at her side instantly, the wise Sheikah a trusted friend as well as her guardian.

"I was there again." Zelda trembled. "Ganondorf was there… he was going to attack me."

"It was only a dream." Impa reminded putting a reassuring arm around the shoulders of the princess.

"Why am I having these same dreams? Every night now…" Zelda felt worried. Was she going mad?

"I am unsure." Impa replied. The princess shuddered.

"I don't understand." She whispered.

"Perhaps it is your gift of wisdom?" The Sheikah warrior suggested.

"Warning me of my future?"

"Or the present. Maybe there is someone out there in need."

"I can't do anything. Not until we find our hero." Zelda stood and walked to her window. At a young age her father had let an evil man into her country and he was promised the hand of the princess, she had felt as if her hero would come then bearing the stone of the forest but alas he never came. After King Daphnes died, Zelda was left to take the throne and still remained unmarried to the king of evil. His anger had made him order his troops to take Hylians away and kill a lot of them. To stop the devastating attacks, Zelda had promised a time she would visit or allow him to come to visit her. Once every two weeks they would meet, have a nice dinner, discuss items that concerned the two kingdoms but most of their talk was about their future as one united kingdom. The first time Ganondorf had said that Zelda nearly threw up into her drinking glass. The thought of being married to that man was repulsive.

"I don't know what to do… I don't have the power to stop him…" Zelda said after a long pause. "I guess I am hoping to prolong the inevitable… Do you ever feel as if something happened that shouldn't have?"

"No my princess. Care to explain?"

"No… nevermind. I should get some rest. Ganondorf is expecting our arrival tomorrow."

"Understood. Call if you need anything."

"Thank you… Impa."

In truth, Zelda wanted to return to her dream and see if she could do something she never had before. Turn around.

Impa had left her and in a few minutes, she was again in the dream world.

'I'm sorry! Stop I'm sorry!' Her thoughts screamed. Zelda could feel an intense pain wash over her, one she never felt before.

Zelda looked around to see Ganondorf, his eyes burning orange as angry as the Gerudian sun. She stepped back suddenly and looked around, his gaze wasn't cast at her anymore, it was cast behind her. She turned to see a shaking form of a small child wailing in the corner, angry gashes on his skin.

The girl couldn't help but scream in terror at the sight.

Who? Who would do this?!
