Ako sighed as she watched Subaru training. She was hiding behind a bush.
Suddenly, a voice said," Spying? Naughty kitten."
"Kya! What?"
Behind her was Kanata.
"Go away," she hissed.
"Why are you watching Subaru?"
"I- I can do what I want!"
"No, I mean, why him?"
Ako stared. "What do you mean?"
"Why not someone who likes you?"
"Who would even like a cat-girl like me, besides my kind Subaru?"
"Take a guess."
"How do I do that?"
"Just think about how others act to you, how they talk to you, things like that."
"Subaru gave me a water bottle once!" Ako grinned. "Nya~ that day was a-ma-zing!"
"Anyone else?"
"No! Do you know anyone, if you keep saying someone else likes me?"
"Me," Kanata answered simply. "I like you, Ako."
Then he walked away.
Wh-what? Ako thought. Wh- why is my heart beating so fast? I like Subaru-kyun, right?
Then she thought about Kanata. How he had told her to stop being obsessed with Subaru, how he had teased her... those were all signs of crushing, right?
And hadn't she blushed pretty much every single time he talked to her?
Granted, he was pretty cute, with his pale blue glasses, and those headphones he carried around everywhere.
Ako giggled. He's obsessed with music, huh?
She thought some more.
Maybe it's time for a change.
