Who Knew by Pink. After the war is over.

Stephanie sang the words of her new song 'Who Knew'. She danced out the rhythm in her feet and closed her eyes remembering.

She remembered when they goofed off and insulted everyone and everything around them included each. But oh, did she wish she could go back.

Back to when she knew who she was so close friends with. All she could remember was someone holding her hand and them leaning down and she felt herself wish she could kiss them when a flash of light took over her mind.

She opened her eyes and scanned the crowd. A few people in the club were watching her including the men sitting in the back. But she kept singing even when a slight tear rolled down her face.

She wished she knew who knew that person in her lost memories were.

Ravel didn't think this was a good idea anymore. Ever since they had wiped clean Valkyrie's memories of magic and the people of the magic community to save the world and her from Darquesse, well things didn't feel right anymore.

He had convinced Ghastly and Skulduggery to come with him to check on her mortal life. But when he had said this he could physically see Skulduggery cringe but he still came. They watched her sing on stage at her new job. Ravel was appalled she would work there but Skulduggery gave no reaction what so ever. He even stopped dead when he saw her and she started to sing he turned away and Ravel couldn't imagine how much he missed her. But when the lyrics hit them all they realized they could take away her memories but not her feelings.

When the song ended Skulduggery abruptly got up. She was getting off the stage, a slow song came on over the speakers. He met her half way to the door and stopped her from leaving. Ravel went to stop him but he felt a hand on his shoulder and Ghastly shook his head. He sat back down.

"Would you care to dance?" Skulduggery held his hand out. She seemed surprised but didn't take her eyes off him for one moment. "Sure." She whispered.

He twirled her around and held her close to him. They looked lost in a world of their own and Ravel felt sorry for them both. Stephanie looked up into the mans face and saw a flash of white seemingly appear like a skul instead of skin. She gasped and backed away.

Skulduggery watched her. "Is everything alright?" Scared he might scare her off.

She shook her head. "Yes. Everything's...just fine." She clung to him tightly and smiled to herself. An odd feeling went through her and she knew somehow, she had done this before, with the same partner she had now.
