I'm Just a Pilgrim
I'm just a pilgrim,
Not wishing any harm,
Seeking peace to soon come.
Been in trouble with Satan
Since the day Jesus came.
To be ever cleansed
In God's brand-new world,
Someday my King will surely come,
My sins will be gone.
The King will rise,
And so will others
To Eternity's verdicts.
Many may be surprised.
I'm sure a turtle,
And ain't older than dirt,
But the Lake won't get me
For eternity.
I'm just God's servant,
Seeking always His plan
For me when I can.
Been in trouble with Satan
Since my heart did God claim.
What a menagerie of souls
There will be dancing in Heaven's Aisles
Belonging to those who heeded God's calls
And obeyed His laws that made them all eternally whole.
I'm just a pilgrim,
Not wishing any harm,
Seeking peace to soon come.
Been in trouble with Satan
Since the day my Lord came.
