"The Pilots Glass"
Parody of "The Parting Glass"
Of all the money that e'er I had
I've spent it all on my unit and me
And all the harm that I've ever done
It was All for the planet of Harmony
And all I've done for want of wit
To memory now I can't recall
So fill for me A Pilot's glass
Good night and peace be with you all
Of all the comrades that e'er I had
They are sorry for my going away
And of the sweetheart that I loved
Would wish for me one more day
To soldier on
And if the cards should thusly fall
That one of us'd rise not at all;
Then save for me A Pilot's glass
Good night and hope be with you all
A man may drink and not be drunk
A man may fight and not be slain
But only a Pilot may court a lass
And perhaps be welcomed back again
But since it has so ought to be
By a time to rise and a time to fall
Come fill for me A Pilot's glass
Good night and love be with you all
Good night and joy be with you all
This is a one time thing sorry.
