I'm such a procrastinator…

I was originally supposed to get this first chapter of this story done earlier, but that evidently did not happen. It should've, but that's kinda my fault. Not kinda , is.

Anyway, this is partially based on phantomdare1's story, Shadows of Almia. Don't worry, before really getting into this, I asked permission for use of the idea, though credit for further parts of the story should go to her.

However, there is tons of stuff that I changed and such, so it's not like I was totally un-creative. Just…..well, I was creatively not creative? I dunno.

Anyway,Anyway, anyway…we should get a move on on this! Let's do it!

Kate wasn't sure what to think at the moment. Honestly, she didn't. First, she had to capture a pikachu. Okay, not so bad. Then, Mr. Kaplan had literally scared the crap out of her, with the whole 'Team School' comment. Okay, fine, maybe that wasn't too bad. At least, now that she had gotten over it. At least Miss April had eased her worries of the possible fact that she may have transferred to a terrible place…Yeah, that would have been pretty freakish, especially since she had worked so hard to get here.

Now, she waited outside the wooden door that Miss April had just slipped inside, surveying the inside of the main school building. It was pretty plain, with some trees as decorations in flower pots to accompany the brown wooden floors. Across the different halls, she could see different doors, but didn't dare wander off. All in all, she was afraid that she would get expelled before she even walked into her class…..maybe she worried to much, but she couldn't think about that now.

''Alright, class, here's the new student! Please, come in!"

Kate closed her eyes and took a deep breath, before walking inside the classroom.

Kate swallowed nervously aware that all eyes were on her, not one student in the classroom looking anywhere else. She traversed to the front of the class, realizing her hands were shaking. Slightly. Ever so slightly. It was hard to notice, but it was there. She noticed it. It made Kate wonder if anyone else did.

Her back was to the students and their desks, but she turned to face them.''Um…hello. I'm Kate. Kate Hitomi.'' she said, her voice a little quiet.

Miss April seemed to take her as reserved, or maybe a little shy, nodding to the class and sparing Kate to have to speak more. She clapped her hands.''Alright. Kate, why don't you sit next to Keith-….Keith, what's with the grin?"

Kate realized that Miss April was speaking to the boy with with spiky red hair, who grinned.''Nah, Miss April,''he said casually,''Just excited.''

Miss April didn't seem to buy it, but let it go.''anyway, Kate, you can sit next to Keith.''

Kate nodded, slipping into the seat next to Keith as told.

Miss April, again, clapped her hands.''alright, that's all for treating you like a new student. You're all my students, and we'll all become great Operators, Mechanics, and Rangers!"

Yeah, I know, short chapter. Normally, I don't like to do it that way, but with writers' block, I just wanted to get this down.
