Mello had just put on his clothes, when he looked into his little brother's room and saw Near with a clinical thermometer between his lips.
"What cha doing? Training for blowing Matt's dick?"
The albino pulled it out.
"No, just trying to understand how you and Light fuck."
"Your brother is ill; he has a terrible cold and high fever."
Bonny stepped into the room and gave her patient a cup of tea.
"Seriously, you get ill right before Holydays? It's summer, how can somebody catch a cold in fucking summer?"
"Maybe he looked at you."
Since their parents died at a car ancient, the under aged boys lived with her sister Bonny a 20 years old author and manga-artist. Since she was very young, she understood how her brothers feel and why they act like idiots during their puberty.
"Mello, could you please ask your teacher to give Near's certificate to you?"
"What if I don't?"
"What if I don't buy chocolate for about two weeks?"
"L will bring some."
The detective L was Bonny's boyfriend, since a half a year, Mello guessed. He was really a nice guy, maybe a bit odd, but if you can stand two psychopaths, a third one won't make a difference.
"Maybe, but the past has shown that every candy that lies in L's perimeter disappears magically in his mouth."
Mello groaned.
"Okay, if it makes my beautiful sister happy, I'll bring snowflake 's shit with me."
The redheaded smiled relived.
"Thank you, but if we don't speed this a bit, you will come too late to school. Hurry up!"
The siblings went to the kitchen and while Near took a nap, they ate a small breakfast.
"Is it okay if I'm not at home when you return from school today? I have a meeting with my boss."
"I'm no baby; I won't die from being alone for an hour."
"You won't be alone, I will call L to keep an eye on Near. In this case I can't depend on you, or am I wrong?"
Mello smiled, stud up and grabbed his bag. Light and Matt already waited on the bus stop when he arrived.
"Hey guys. Matt, I'm sorry but Near eloped with that hot guy from our neighborhood."
"Do you think he's hot?!"
Light looked at Mello in a very jealous way, but his lover smiled and kissed his cheek. Matt doesn't seem to be interested in that at all, he just murmured something like: "Yea, he wrote me an SMS and told me." After that, the bus came and the three friends got off.
"Hey, Honey."
L bended over and kissed his girlfriend's forehead. Bonny smirked and asked him in.
"Want some coffee?" she asked while the detective sat down on the couch.
"That would be nice, thanks. So Near is ill?"
"Yes, he caught a cold, that's why I want you to look after him while I got a meeting."
She handed him a cup and sat down next to him.
"You look great today, Bonny." L said honestly. Of course his girl always looked great, but usually she just wears sweaters or wide T-shirts. Now she was dressed up like a business women, which was highly attractive.
"Thanks Sweetie, but I have to go now, keep an eye on my two brothers."
Bonny put on her shoes and took her bag. After giving L a goodbye kiss, she left the apartment quickly.
