Island Paradise Lost

A/N: I got a little distracted from "Blood Summer", but promise everyone that I'll update ASAP. Untl then, enjoy this story.

Disclamer: For once... rated G. It's just for giggles. This is "Twilight" mixed with "Lost"... sort of. Actually, it's more like what if three friends got in a plane crash and wake up to find themselves on a deserted island? And what if they're not the only survivors? That kind of story. If you're reading "Blood Summer" ignore the facts. Pretend like this is a entirely different story...Hey it is? LOL

Part One

2:00 A,M. Sydeney Austrailia

It didn't take them long to fall asleep once we took off and reached cruising speed, I just wish they hadn't. I love my two best friends, but they're rubish when it comes to staying awake for anything. Kristine, my only girl friend these days, fluffed her pillow and was asleep before she hit it. Eric on the other hand, had more class. He had finished his complamentary bag of over salted peanuts, drank the last of his glass of champane, and THEN fell asleep. Leaving me completely awake and way too bored for my own good. I shook my head at them from across the isle and could help but roll my eyes. I was the one that should be exhausted. After all, I had just returned from a succesful campain with the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society and two months at sea. But I shouldn't complain, I chose it and had absolutely no regreats.

As I turned to stare out my window at what had been my home for the past sixty days, I felt a tiny bit of regret. This place had been my home during this time, I was starting to feel home sick already. I sighed as Sydney faded into the east and gave way to pitch black ocean below.

I was so entranced by my own thoughts that I almost didn't notice the empty seat beside me was suddenly occupied. I turned to see who my travel companion was, but it was too dark and I could make out a face.

"Hello." He replied noticing I turned my attention to him.

"Hey." I smiled politely. He sounded cute, but that could be the lack of coffee and sleep kicking in.

"Where are you heading?" He inquired, still maintaining is cool politeness.

I looked out the window again. "Home."

He chuckled. "And that is..."

"America." I laughed as well.

He shifted beside me to look out the window as well. I inhaled slightly at his sudden movement. He smelled really good. "Looks like we have a ways to go."

"I'd have to agree." I said softly.

He leaned back in his seat and sighed lightly. "I'm heading home as well. California. You?"

"Colorado, my family's missed me."

I felt him smile, was that wierd? "Were you gone on buisness or pleasure?"

I blushed slightly. "Buisness and pleasure... I think."

"You don't know the difference, that can't be good."

"Not nessicarially," I said slowly. "I could love my job."

He chuckled again. "That's true."

"And you...what are you coming home from?"

"Buisness," He replied almost bitterly. "It never ends."

"I'm sorry, what kind of buisness. That is if you don't mind me asking."

"Working on a project or two." I said and I can tell he like being the mysterious stranger. "You'll understand in the morning."

I raised my eyebrow. "Why, are you some kind of vampire or something?"

He chuckled and I grew a tiny bit concerned. "Not exactly. Get some sleep, we've still got a long flight ahead of us."

As if he was magic, I slowly drifted to sleep. I must have been sleepier then I orignally suspected.
