I own nothing. JKR's brilliant mind houses these characters.

He paced along the back fence to the small homey cottage that was merely hundreds of feet from him. He took in the flower beds and how they all danced in the moonlight to the slow summer breeze. The only other light next to the moon came from the one that peeked through the small kitchen window. It sat directly over the sink and cast a small ray of yellow light in the back yard. He could see into the small kitchen, enjoying the scene.

His pink haired wife, swollen belly, and that smile that weakened his knees, she sat between her parents as they held their own conversation. She would rub her stomach every now and then as she conversed. His son was growing and due to make his arrival in a matter of days. Was it normal for him to be afraid? He was terrified. He had no idea how to take care of an infant, Harry was the last one he was permitted to be around and that was years ago.

He didn't know if he could handle this; he was only so lucky that the full moon had already made its cycle. He glanced up at the rock in the sky and let out a defeated sigh. He could only hope that his son would not become a child of the moon. He didn't want him to experience the hardships in life that he's had to. He doesn't want him to be treated differently just because of what he is.

He didn't know if they were going to survive this war. He and she had talked about this; they knew they couldn't let Harry do this on his own, even with ickle Teddy on his way. He paced yet again, his thoughts consuming him. It wasn't till he heard the shrill call of his name that he realized something was happening. Something big; he took in the sight of his kindly father-in-law and the wide eyed expression that adorned his face. He knew that Teddy was on his way.

He rushed into the house and knelt by his wife's side as she smiled before groaning in pain. She took his offered hand and with the assistance of her mother and a few odd remarks from her father, Teddy arrived in a fit of cries and wailing limbs. He watched in awe and amazement as the small bundle was cleaned and wrapped in a nappy and then in a green, star splotched blanket. A small feminine hand reached his own and he finally glanced away from his son and into her eyes.

He saw the smile that grew on her face as Teddy was placed in her arms. The cooing baby opened his eyes revealing the brightest shade of blue he had ever seen. As soon as his little hand wrapped around his mother's finger, his hair turned blue. He couldn't help but grin at the manifested trait of his wife. She glanced up at him and asked if he would like to hold his son. His heart froze mid-beat and his breath hitched in his throat. He nodded dumbly as she moved to accommodate the switching of arms.

As soon as the small bundle was safely in his arms, the warmth that flooded through him far passed everything he had ever felt to date. The blue eyed, blue haired little boy in his arms held his heart. As he took in each and every feature, his nose, her mouth, his father's ears, her mother's chin; each and every fear came back to him. He felt that small hand touch his arm once again and his eyes passed over their son and over to his wife, the smile that she bore let him know that everything would be okay.
