Summary: Very short one-shot, post-anime series. Breaking dawn at a new era in their lives.
Yoake
On a regular day, Wolfram rarely woke up before Yuuri. This day wasn't regular for one particular reason: it was his and Yuuri's first morning as a married couple.
From beginning to end, the day before was fraught with work to be done, worries of remembering vows and actions taught by Gunter, fears of making a fool of himself before a great host of family, friends and nobles from Shin Makoku and beyond. The weight fell away the moment Ulrike pronounced them married and introduced them as Maou and Prince Consort, smiles of relief and happiness exchanged with a kiss that quickly became less than chaste, much to the consternation of overprotective big brothers.
The celebrations continued well into the night, the celebrated couple taking their leave long before the last guests stumbled their way to their own rooms. Despite any speculation from the masses, the consummation of their union didn't immediately take place; both being relatively inexperienced in such matters, the couple took their time, fumbling and exploring all the while.
Wolfram blushed at the memory of how quickly their instincts kicked in after the first time – Yuuri's even more so than his. He was grateful the sun had yet to make its ascent; the dimness in the room was enough to help conceal his reddened cheeks.
"Wolfram?"
He glanced over his shoulder, catching the silhouette of his new husband sitting up in bed, now stretching, sheets pooled around his waist.
Doing his best to smooth down his bed-ruffled hair, Yuuri said, "You're up early."
Wolfram rolled his eyes. "Humph! Of course I am, wimp."
"I'm not a wimp," Yuuri countered. "Besides," he added with a teasing tone, "you weren't calling that out earlier."
"Yuuri!"
"Yes, just like that," Yuuri said, his tone remaining light. He was sure Wolfram was red as a beet.
Yuuri rose from the bed, and grabbing one of the bed sheets, he walked up behind Wolfram and hugged him, wrapping the sheet around both of them. The next few moments were spent watching the sun as it slowly came into view.
"Beautiful," Yuuri murmured, burying his nose into Wolfram's hair. He could still smell a hint of the shampoo that was used in Wolfram's hair as they were both prepared for the ceremony. The rest was all Wolfram, a scent that became irresistible, enough to make his nature rise.
Wolfram hummed in agreement, trying and failing in any effort to not pay attention to the effect Yuuri's nuzzling was having on his own body.
"I think we should go back to bed," Yuuri mumbled, lips grazing Wolfram's left ear, moving back to the bed.
Wolfram made no effort to battle him, allowing the tide of Yuuri's new-found passion to carry him off once more.
