AN: This is a rewrite of I'm Not Gone.

Prologue

There was love stories and then there was love stories. Love stories built on big, grand gestures, they moved fast and were very impressive. You never thought to think of the consequences, what happened when you'd done all the big, grand gestures and well, you were done. What happened when that love, that burned so bright, stopped burning so bright? When all the adventure that had happened continued happening and you couldn't relax and things just got darker?

When you were suddenly facing parenthood, at the darkest of times? And then, when the baby died. What did you do? Did you break up? Did you run away? Or, were all your problems solved when your other half died?

There was always consequences of love stories and love stories. You just never thought about the consequences of love stories. It could be death, an STI or, even, a child you never knew existed.

There are consequences to every action, be them good or bad. There are consequences to love stories and love stories. Sometimes those consequences are negligible, or catastrophic. Some can be in-between. This consequence was not in-between. It was so far on one end of the spectrum that you never saw it coming.
