It was another fine day in the junkyard, the sun was shining bright and all of the members of the Jellicle tribe seemed to be enjoying themselves. However one cat seemed to be feeling quite the opposite; A young Macavity could be seen walking around the clearing of the junkyard and he was being followed around by two younger kittens: an adolescent Munkustrap, and an even younger Rum Tum Tugger.

"How did I get stuck babysitting?" said the young Ginger cat out loud to no one in particular. He was not too keen on watching his two younger brothers.

"Because Father said so." said Munkustrap his silver and black striped tabby brother. The pair stopped in the middle of the clearing suddenly as Mac took a hard turn and faced his brothers "Shut it Munk." the older cat hissed in annoyance. Macavity was showing his obvious annoyance with having to babysit; He knew Munkustrap would be no issue he was easy, it was Tugger who would be the issue.

"Can we take a break? We've been walking forever!" whined Tugger, the youngest son of Old Deuteronomy was a young Maine Coon, though the maine in question was just a small batch of fuzz on his black and orange body. Mac seemed to get even more furious.

"Tugger!" he began "Stop complaining! I don't see why you two couldn't be watched by Jellyorum or Jenny; Why would dad put me on kitten duty?" he gritted his teeth as he knew his rhetorical question would get an answer.

"Because, Dad and the other old cats are at a tribe meeting." said Munkustrap to the point. Tugger then snickers a bit as if he is in on something Munk and Mac don't know about.

"Not to mention he got busted."laughed Tugger, Macavity became irate and got in Tugger's face and began to get down right cruel.

"That Cat Nip was not mine you little brat!" Tugger felt hurt and his emotions got the better of him and he began to tear up. Munkustrap then got between them to mediate and to comfort his little brother.

"Mac, leave Tugger alone. That is no way for the future Protector to act especially to a kitten." Macavity scoffed, it was the same scene Tugger would get attention like the dramatic kitten he was and Mac would look like the bad guy.

Macavity kept to himself as his two brothers play fought in the clearing; He was wishing he could find a way to ditch the kits and do whatever he preferred to do. Macavity laughed at the thought of making them disappear, but his budding magic was still weak and unpredictable; Macavity then just focused on Tugger, He did care for his little brother even if it was measured in a very small degree. Mac then began to grow annoyed at the thought of how Tugger acted, he craved attention and seemed to be so dramatic that he got his way so easily. Other cats would jokingly tell Mac that it was just because he was the baby of the litter and that he would grow out of it. However, Macavity always noticed his parents only seemed to nurture his antics. Old Deuteronomy by status brought a lot of leisure to his family and Grizzabella by nature was so easily moved emotionally it was easy to see where Tugger got that trait and the Glamour Cat only made it worse by babying the Coon to a very spoiled degree.

Macavity started to look around in boredom and decided he would ditch his brothers, but he would do it in such an innocent sounding way that any alibi he would come up with would be fail proof.

"Munk, Tugger how do you two feel about a game of Hide And Seek?" he looked down at his brothers Munk appeared to be winning the brotherly fight as he was sitting on top of Tugger. Both kittens looked at the Ginger cat with excitement.

"Sure." began Munkustrap "What do you think Tugger?" he looked down at Tugger as he was still sitting on him.

"I'm up for anything that gets you off me." said Tugger as he snaked himself out from under Munk.

Macavity waited for his brothers to dust themselves off from the fight and smiled to himself as he put his plan into action.

"Okay kits, the rules are simple, I'll give you a head start and an amount of time to hide; I'll then do my best to find you two. If any one of you gets back here without being spotted by me or the other kitten then you win." Macavity watched as the two kits took the rules in.

"Agreed." said Munkustrap nodding in agreement.

"Piece of Mice Cake." said Tugger trying to play it cool rubbing a paw through his small supply of head-fur.

Macavity smirked 'Alright, start hiding." he then turned around signaling the game had begun he could hear Munk and Tugger running off as best they could without making noise. The ginger cat then began to count slowly to emphasize the tension.

"One...two...three...four..." Mac trailed off and peeked around his shoulder, his two brothers had ran off out of sight; He smiled finally feeling peace and began to leave the junkyard to do things only the Everlasting Cat could divulge.

Hours had gone by and Munkustrap returned to the clearing, he had begun to worry for his brothers sure they had played many a long game of Hide And Seek but not one that lasted hours. The silver and black tabby searched any possible hiding spot, the tall grass in the field, the mountains of junk that made up the yard, any nook and space he could think but found nothing of his brothers.

"Mac, Tugger where are you?! Come out, come out where ever you are!" yelled Munk with a bit of worry in his voice as he continued to search. He kept roaming around until he heard a noise and went to investigate, it sounded like light snoring.

Munkustrap came across an old bureau dresser and found one of it's drawers ajar; In said drawer lay a sleeping Tugger, he was curled up and in a deep sleep from how comfy he looked it seemed he had been in the drawer for quite some time. Munkustrap was tempted to wake his Coon brother but resisted the urge.

"He must have hid in here and fell asleep while waiting." thought Munkustrap as he watched over his brother. He decided to sit by the dresser and find ways to bide his time. He would wait for Macavity to find them or for his parents to call them into the den for the night. Time had gone on and Macavity was seen walking his way back to the clearing. Munkustrap caught sight of his Ginger elder.

"Where have you been Mac? You never came looking for me." the young tabby waited for an answer. Macavity smirked and laughed a bit as he looked down at him.

"I used the game as a trick to ditch you two." Macavity then made his way to the sleeping Tugger and began to slowly close the drawer and placed a weight in front of it locking the young cat inside. Munkustrap watched on in shock and rushed to the drawer in hopes to remove the weight, but Macvity stopped him in his place with a vice grip on his arm.

"Let go Mac!" he protested trying to shake free to no avail as his brothers grip tightened.

"You move that weight, it'll be the last thing you do." Macavity threw Munkustrap down and began to walk away.

Munkustrap looked on as Mac left "What did Tugger ever do yo you?!" the ginger cat turned to face him.

"The runt was getting on my nerves, this will teach him to toughen up" Macavity said nothing more and disappeared with his magic; Munkustrap ran to the drawer and tried to move it but one cat's strength was not enough. He began to think of what he could do to get Tugger out.

"Don't worry Tugger, I'll be back with help." thought Munk as he began to speed off in the direction of his family's den.

Tugger awoke with a smooth yawn, he tried to stretch and unwind from his sleep but could not move his body that much; As his eyes began to adjust to the dark he realized what had happened. He began to try and move the drawer but his pushing was a failed effort/

"Okay guys, very funny now let me out." he said laughing in annoyance he waited for one of his brothers to open the drawer to let in the sun but it never happened; Tugger began to push and claw at the drawer in desperation and began to cry and meow out to anyone who may hear him but it seemed no one heard him.

Tugger tried multiple times to free himself and to stay calm. After what seemed like the thousandth attempt to free himself he stopped as a claustrophobic feeling began to set in; Tugger had been in tight spaces before but the thought of not being able to escape the drawer is what made him panic and feel closed in.

"C'mon, you're The Rum Tum Tugger, you can do this!" he thought trying to keep his spirits up. Tugger decided to give it one more try; He placed his paws at the base off the drawer's inside panel and began to push out as hard as his small paws would allow but still the young Coon had no luck.

Time went on and Tugger kept trying but no result came of it. He started to tire from trying to free himself and a mix of sadness and fatigue fell over him; It seemed the young kitten would never get out. Tugger's ears began to perk as he heard a loud noise outside the drawer, a small crack of light began to fill the darkness of the drawer and Tugger had to let his eyes adjust. Once the drawer had been fully opened, Tugger's parents Old Deuteronomy and Grizzabella could be seen.

"Dad, Mom!" Tugger yelled in excitement as he jumped out of the drawer and engulfed the two older cats in a tight embrace.

"My poor little Tugger! Are you alright?" said Grizzabella in concern as she began to check her son over and nuzzle him with protective affection. Tugger was glad to see her but began to out on his usual act.

"I'm fine mom, watch the maine." he said in a mocking cool guy tone as he freed himself to fix himself in case any other Tom or Queen kitten happened to be watching.

Old Deuteronomy placed a fatherly paw on his son "Munkustrap came and fetched us, how in Heviside did you get stuck in a bureau drawer Tugger?" Tugger began to look around and found Munkustrap behind his father and mother.

"I, Munk, and Mac were playing a game of Hide And Seek; I had hid in the drawer and fell asleep as I was waiting to be found. Next thing I know I'm shut in and I couldn't get out." Tugger took a deep breath as he explained what all else had happend, once he finished Munkustrap spoke up.

"Macavity shut the drawer and weighted it down." He was about to speak on, but Tugger spoke up first.

"Why didn't you stop him then Munk?" asked Tugger with a mix of anger and question.

"I tried." began Munkustrap "Mac had me in a vice grip and threaded me if I tried to get you out. Once I knew I couldn't do it myself I ran for help." Munk had a sad tone in his voice as he explained his half of the story.

Grizzabella sighed in relief and hugged onto both of her sons "I'm so glad Tugger is safe, and Munkustrap you did the right thing for coming to get us." Munkustrap smiled a bit and felt better by his mothers statement.

"But," chimed in Old Deuteronomy "Macavity will be punished once he returns home." the old tom crossed his paws over his chest in a stern manner.

A day or two went by before Macavity came back to the den. But, as Old D had said he was put in a heavy punishment and was not allowed to leave the den for quite some time. Tugger was still a bit shaken by the event of being locked away in a drawer but that didn't stop him from napping in them. Tugger also decided to get some payback on Mac, Every day that Macavity stayed at home he was subject to having to hear Tugger play the Bagpipes.
