Not many people knew that Death had a garden.
He liked nothing better than spending some down time, usually at the weekends, pottering around his vegetable patch, or pruning his roses.
And contrary to what many would imagine, his garden was green and verdant, and very much alive.
His vegetables were all delicious and succulent, his sweetpeas were a riot of beautiful colour and busy butterflies and not one fish in his pond was floating upside down on the surface of the water.
Yes, Death's garden was a lovely little haven of vitality and life.
It was a bit embarrassing really.
