CHAPTER ONE

Steve walkedtrough the forest, scared and confused. The incident with his brother, Herobrine, had spooked him out of theregnome town. Images keep flashing through his mind. Herobrine leading Steve into the mine shaft. Herobrine climbing across his makeshift bridge over a pond of lava to get the diamonds. Herobrine sinking In the lava. "I'll get you, Steve!"

There was a flash, followed by a a clap of thunder. Steve jumped at the sudden sound. The next thing he knew, he was soaked head to toe in rain water. Steve ran around aimlessly, looking for a dry spot. He didn't like the rain. Never knew why.

Suddenly, he saw a small cabin, with no lights on. He dashed to it, opened the door and went inside. It was nice and dry. But quiet and dark. "Hello?" Called Steve.

No answer. "Hello?" This time, he heard low, heavy breathing.

THe looked into his backpack. He had packed plenty of things befor he ran away. Steve looked through his pack for a candle. There. He pulled the candle out and in the inky blackness, he couldn't even tell where he was holding it. He brought out a match and flicked it across where he thought the string was there was asudden flash, then a warm glow of orange. Maybe 3 inches from his face was a green figure, breathing foul breth into his face.

The figure took a swing at Steve. Steve had ducked just in time, and the blow hit the wall. Steve grabbed histone sword from the scabbard. He swung the light blade at the figure. It fell to the ground with a hiss. He spat on it. "Zombies."

Steve got out of the cabin and ran away from the area. The noise from the battle had attracted more zombies. He had to get out of there.
