Aria tossed and turned in the cheap, uncomfortable bed. The strong smell of whiskey and vodka was soaked into the sheets; the rest of the apartment actually, it was just Ezra's scent, Aria guessed. It was all that he would drink, but he wasn't an alcoholic or anything, just... Ezra. Aria wouldn't admit how much she loved it, whenever he would drag her against his chest. It was strong then, the smell. It sometimes gave her a headache, but she wouldn't take it away. It was the one thing she hoped to fall asleep with each night. Aria missed the scent at Rosewood, it was usually covered up with some magical aftershave that made him seem like an innocent teacher at Rosewood, just like all of the other newbie's that would arrive on their first day.
Except Ezra wasn't one of those innocent newbie's.
He was dating his student, and she was currently laying beside him, naked, in the small bed against the wall of Ezra's apartment.
Aria hated this part, having to leave. It was always the same, Ezra would leave before Aria even had the chance to wake up properly, leaving her to get on with her morning routine. It was the one part of staying over that she just couldn't stand.
As the petite girl felt the sheets ruffle and a waft of cold air fly against her frame, her eyes flew open, Ezra was awake, and trying to be as quiet as humanly possible for a man; which wasn't very quiet. She let out a small groan, forcing herself to wake up properly.
"Do you have to get up? It's a Saturday." Aria spoke through a yawn, trying to drag the covers back over herself. She remembered the previous night, and how long they had been awake for, but mainly the fact that she was laying beneath the thin sheet without so much as a sock on.
"I have a meeting." Ezra spoke quickly, trying to struggle to his feet. In seconds, Aria was behind Ezra, her hands settled on his shoulders to hold him down on the bed. She didn't want him to just leave her today, who has a meeting on a Saturday anyway? That was Rosewood for you. In an attempt to distract him, Aria began to place kisses along his bare shoulders, tracing the small freckles that were dotted about here and there. "Aria..." He trailed out lazily, trying to bring himself to argue, but he didn't move an inch. He enjoyed it, but giving her the satisfaction wasn't going to happen, he did have to go to work in less than an hour.
"Ten more minutes." Aria pleaded, slipping her arms around his neck whilst her lips moved north towards his neck; Ezra's weak spot. It was the one place that would get him every single time. "Just ten."
"Seven." He tried to negotiate, she really wasn't helping him here, he needed to go to work for this meeting. Aria bit down, only gently, on his skin, and waited for him to crumble into a million pieces in her palm.
"Fifteen." Aria's tone didn't rise to more than a murmur, her tiny lips skilfully working their magic as her dainty fingers laced into his chocolate tresses. Ezra counted down in his head from ten, they both knew that he was giving in, it was only a matter of seconds. "For me? Who will keep me safe with you gone? I need you to protect me."
They both knew how protective Ezra could get when it came to –A, it was his ultimate kryptonite.
"Please?" Her nails dragged up his front as she reached over his shoulders, purposely releasing a gentle moan into his ear.
Ezra was an hour late to his meeting that morning.
