Prologue

Two figures were in a dark, foggy room. The vision was limited, as the only things you could see were what was right in front of you. They both seemed to be arguing, frustrated tones and frantic hand gestures gave it all away. "We need to bring them down. Reshape the world in our eyes, the way we've been deprived of for so long!" Shouted one figure, while growling menacingly. The other, more calm, thought this over and then continued. "If we bring them down, all they will do is come back again. It is an endless cycle. We need to transform THEM, and make sure they think what we think." The first figure nodded slowly, and then both laughed maniacally, thinking over their plan.

Skye woke up with a start. She had just seen something, right outside her window. 'Eh. I've been seeing things lately. I wouldn't be surprised if it was just another bird.' She thought, and got out of bed. Getting dressed, Skye picked out her usual attire: White shirt, ripped skinny jeans, gray hi-top converses. Nothing to get excited about. Trampling downstairs, she quickly grabbed a waffle and her

backpack, and she ran to the bus stop. Last day of 8th grade, and she was on her way to camp half-blood afterwards. Once Skye had arrived at school, she was immediately greeted by her friends. "Hey Skye!" Her best friend, Anne, called out. Skye walked up to them and greeted them all by name, but obviously Anne was waiting for her to finish. "Alright, what do you want?" Skye asked Anne impatiently. "Well, we were all thinking of having a sleepover today. Can you come?" Anne questioned. Skye sighed. "No, sorry, I can't." Anne pouted. "Where do you always go every summer that you can never hang out with us?" She said in a displeased tone. Skye sighed and just walked away, not bothering to explain, if she even could.
