Horokeu Usui x Naomi-Rei
Shaman King – OneShot
Note : Whisper
It was a hot summer day as Naomi-Rei and Horokeu were jogging through a park, near by the Fire Inn. Since this was the most alone time the two could ever have, the teens tried to savor ever moment.
"Horo... Why does your imouto hate me?"
The girl stared into her koibito's eye. Horokeu detested that face. It could get the blue-haired Ainu to say or respond to just about anything. The boy breathed in a bit.
"Well, she doesn't hate you -."
"Anymore."
The boy sweat dropped.
"Yeah, but... Pirika's just overprotective of me and wants the best from me..."
"And you make her sound like she's older than you Usui."
The girl had struck him again; this time, using Horokeu's last name. Whenever Naomi said his last name, he knew that she didn't want to put this conversation at a stand-still. It had to be finished.
The Ainu sighed and slowed down, until he stopped at a lone tree. Naomi-Rei stopped next to him. The boy looked at his koi.
"Do we really have to talk about this? I mean, can't we just leave the subject?"
There was a small moment of silence till the girl answered. She had her back turned to the snowboarder.
"You might be able to, but when you love someone and that person has a family member that glares at you every single day and tries to separate you and your koibito when you are or you're about to hold each other's hands or even embrace, it tends to get on your nerves. And you become concerned about your relationship.
"...I just think that you should talk to your sister about us. We can practice what you could say covering all of the points and ..."
Naomi's eyes began to water, but she kept on talking.
"And... I just want us to be together..."
"Na-chan, what was the last part you said? I- I couldn't hear you..."
She turned around. Horokeu's eyes widen at her tear-stricken face. Tears were still rolling down.
"I said that . . . I WANT US TO BE TOGETHER!! I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE YOU AND I DON'T WANT YOU TO LEAVE ME!!"
She put the blue-haired boy in a tight embrace and into cried his chest. Horokeu was still a little shocked. He had never really seen his girlfriend breakdown in front of him. Truth is, if Naomi broke down, it would be in the secrecy of her own room. The Ainu had seen times were she would be crying and just say very negative things about herself and friends. Mostly about herself though.
"Ne, Na-chan..."
" If we're away from each other than we're going to forget about the good times we had... And then we'll forget that the other existed... And what happens when one of us gets in a serious injury? I mean, we're going to move away from each other if we're not together and- "
"Na-chan."
"And what about our pictures? Will we just burn those and forget about those days...? And what if we had a box of letters from each other but then we throw them away because we think it's just useless junk and a waist of space...? And what if- ?"
"DAMN IT, REI-NA, SHUT UP!"
They had pulled away from each other. Naomi-Rei was staring at the green earth while Horokeu was staring at the girl; almost in a glare. One was still crying while the other was trying to just be happy with his love.
"Gomen nasaii, Horo... You must really believe that I'm not good enough for you..."
"What? No! Will you just stop jumping to conclusions for a sec...?"
"Sorry. It's just that-."
"You're thinking of a future that will never come and your being to damn pessimistic for your own good!"
"..."
The snowboarder sighed and hugged his lovely girl lightly.
"Look, I'm go talk to Pirika, 'kay? I'll see if we can work something out."
"And what happens when you can't...?"
"Um, well..."
"Can I-?"
"No killing."
The girl looked up at her boyfriend. She gave him a mock glare.
"Kill joy."
