They don't get it, do they?
I may have not lived as long as them, but I know well and full that what they do is hypocritical. They say the machines are the enemy. Yet, we depend on them. For communication, for transportation, for protection, for survival.
The one over the radio, John Connor, he says we, humanity, are the resistance. I don't believe it in the slightest. We are all machines in one shape or another. We are no better, if not worse, than Skynet. It is like us. It thinks, it learns, it understands.
I do not care for Skynet, but humanity can be so much worse. Humanity attacks the heart and soul. Skynet just attacks the body. Humanity knows malice and contempt. Skynet does not. Humanity kills for glee. Skynet kills because it must.
The machines, they kill because they have to. They have no choice. Humans, they have choice, yet they choose to kill. We are much worse than any machine, any program. We are monsters, yet we try to hide it with our intellect.
That has always been our problem. We always sought a way to circumvent our weakness, to ignore it. Because of that, we damned ourselves to annihilation. We needed to face our weaknesses to overcome them, not flee from them.
Perhaps we deserved this. We ruined our world with our manipulation of it. It is only fair that we ourselves will now know how it feels. In the end, we crafted our own Judgment Day. Now, we must see it through. This is our fate, and I've seen enough of it.
