Kazuo Kiriyama awoke every day at five-thirty. He often waited in his bedroom for another ten minutes and stared at the ceiling, because the floor was often cold at five-thirty before the floor heat turned on. His morning routine was nothing more than showering, getting dressed, and eating whatever was on hand for breakfast. Then he exited his home to meet Numai, who often walked with him to school.

Kiriyama didn't know why, but he didn't care either.

Numai said that he was angry about Mimura charming all of the girls. He said that he was angry about Nanahara charming all of the girls. Kiriyama didn't know why he cared about girls so much. After all, Numai did spend most of his time with Kiriyama instead of girls.

Kiriyama said this, and Numai said that he would never abandon the boss for a girl.

Kiriyama didn't bother to ask why he was angry about Mimura and Nanahara.

School could be interesting sometimes, but it didn't look like it would be today. Souma offered him a blowjob again. Kiriyama had taken her up on the offer the first time, just to see what it was like, but now that experience was catalogued in his mind and he didn't need a repeat. He didn't know why she kept asking.

Nothing new was introduced in class. He took the book he was currently reading out of his bag and read that instead. The teacher told him to put it away. He told the teacher no. The teacher didn't say anything else. There were bigger problems than Kazuo Kiriyama reading instead of listening. Kiriyama would get perfect scores anyway.

The teachers never quite knew what to do with him. He continued reading.

At lunch, Numai and Sasagawa congratulated him on defying authority. Kiriyama didn't care. Numai led the rest of them over to intimidate Akamatsu. Kiriyama ate his lunch. Akamatsu cried.

The afternoon classes were mildly interesting. Kiriyama had finished his book and had decided to think about it a bit. He did.

Then school was over and he decided to see what Numai was planning. Numai did a lot of planning. Kiriyama didn't do anything that he didn't want to do, but Numai was often good at thinking up situations. Sometimes not, though. Like today.

Numai said that they should go jump younger kids for money. They had already done that this week. Kiriyama said no. Kiriyama said that they were going to check on any gangs that might have popped up. Kiriyama wouldn't mind being challenged. He had something new that he wanted to try out.

They found a gang of high schoolers that knew their reputation but laughed when they saw Kiriyama. Kiriyama took out both of the leader's eyes and then broke his nose. He felt blood between his fingers and crouched down to inspect the eyes. The leader had passed out. His friends had run away. Kiriyama tilted his head to the side, studying the dangling eyeballs. He wondered how that felt.

The negatives of that situation would probably outweigh the experience. He decided not to try it out.

He had homework. He told Numai that they were done for the day and went home to do his homework and perhaps read more or master the glockenspiel. It had been an average day.

This was requested by a user on Tumblr who wanted Kiriyama just… reacting to every day events! So that's what we got. I sort of used this as a way to try out a weird new writing style that I thought fit the character, so it was seriously fun to write.
