Author's note: Don't be alarmed, I have changed the story and the characters quite a bit.
Chapter 1
"Yeow!" shrieked Piper as she jumped to the side avoiding an energy ball and colliding painfully into a wall. "That does it," she muttered under her breath. Throwing up her hands, the demon burst into a shower of dust. Her powers were growing more powerful as she learnt to master them but they were still no match for her older sister, Prue's power.(A.N. Prue never died in this story and Paige is with them too) Somewhere behind her, Prue was using her amazing telekinetic ability to hurl sharp objects at the demon she was facing which, from all the noise it was making , was putting up a pretty fierce fight. Piper whirled around to try to help Prue which she found out was unnecessary because some how Prue had managed to hit the demon straight in the chest with a knife. With one final growl, the demon burst into flames and disappeared.
"Piper! Prue! Help us!" shouted Phoebe as she and Paige tried to take down the last demon together. From what Piper could see they weren't having much luck. Paige was hurling objects at the demon like Prue had been doing but most of the object missed her target. Phoebe, who had been standing to one side, managed to create an energy ball and flung it at the demon. This time, the demon burst into flames.
Well, thought Piper it is just the typical day of a witch. Even more so for the four Halliwell sisters. They were the charmed ones and Piper hated thinking about their great responsibilities and all the sacrifices they had had to make.
Even here in Sunnydale there were demons. In fact, there were more now than in San Francisco. She and her sisters had come down here hoping to get a break from the forces of evil they had to face but obviously that was out of their control. It had been months after they moved here that they learnt that Sunnydale was right above the hell mouth. Just their luck. They had heard rumors of a vampire slayer staying in Sunnydale. A young girl whose job was to get rid of evil in this part of the world. They had all wanted to meet this girl but no one knew who she really was. Was she good or evil? No one knew. No one knew whether she even existed. How could they be sure?
All the Halliwell sisters had encountered vampires before. Paige had been turned into one temporarily not so long ago and it had been a time of hell for them. Now everywhere they went, they either had a cross, a bottle of holy water or a couple of stakes but they were still not safe from attacks. It would come in handy for them to have a professional vampire slayer as a friend. That was why they wanted to meet this mysterious girl but how could they?
