Lucy slowly opened the bag. She couldn't believe she had to deal with this at such a young age. She was only sixteen.
2 months earlier
Lucy had been going out with her boyfriend, Brian for 2 months now. Then that fateful night came. She didn't know how it happened. It just did.
Flashback Ends
She looked down at the bathroom counter. The pregnancy test was positive! Oh, God! She couldn't believe it. She was only sixteen and she wasn't even married! She knew she had to call Brian and let him know she was pregnant. And how would her parents react?
She nervously picked up the phone and dialed Brian's phone number. His mom answered. "Hey Luce!" answered Brian's mom, "I'll get Brian for you. Hold on a minute." Lucy could hear Brian's mom yell for him and Brian run down the steps. "Hey Luce," Brian said breathlessly. "Hi, Brian," Lucy meekly answered, "Could you meet me tonight for pizza at say, six?" asked Lucy. "Sure," Brian said, "See you then." Lucy hung up and went to take a shower.
2 hours later
Lucy could see Brian waving at her from a table in the corner. She slowly walked over and sat down. "Brian we need to talk," she whispered. "Okay," Brian said with a quizzical look on his face. "There's something important I need to tell you," Lucy started, "Don't talk just wait for me to finish. Brian, I think I....I....I might be.......pregnant!" "Oh," Brian sat back with a shocked expression on his face. "I don't know how this happened. I mean we only did it once. Lots of girls don't get pregnant even after doing it dozens of times. I just didn't think this could happen to me. I mean we used protection," she said. "It's okay, Luce, we'll figure something out. I'm in as deep as you are. After all I'm the father," Brian said. "Thanks," Lucy replied. Brian reached across the table and gave Lucy's hand a squeeze. She smiled back at him with sad eyes. "What are we going to tell our parents?" Lucy asked. "I don't know, Luce, I don't know," replied Brian.
