Creation Myth

This This how the Earth and all of its wondrous inhabitants, plants and beasts were created.

In the beginning the Earth was a vast nothing. There was no dark, and there was no light. Many generations of gods however, had been living in Olympus for as long as they could remember. One day, Athens talked Zeus into creating something new, and able to interact with and praise the gods. Zeus, who loved being flattered with praise, could not refuse this offer. Once the terms were settled with the rest of the Olympians, they began to work on building a home for their creation. Each god added a few of his or her favorite things, and eventually the Earth, that we have today, took form. Then the gods started to think. They had a beautiful land of lush forests, winding rivers and streams. The gods then created their prize possessions, animals and humans. To humans, they gave god-like characteristics such as bravery and kindness.

All was good, but Athena was bored. After all, she was the goddess of war. With no troubles in the world, there were no wars, so while the other gods weren't looking she added some trouble in the form of the human woman, Pandora, and evil eventually spread throughout the Earth. So, now you know how the Earth and its inhabitants were created. You also know who created the evils of nuclear-warfare, homework, and things like that.
