A/N 1: as a writing exercise, I developed a system where I asked for a pairing and random numbers from four different variables (bookcase, book in bookcase, page, line), and then set a timer to 15 minutes and wrote. This is the result of the first set of numbers.

Prompter: a RL friend helping me test the system

Ship: Alice/Will/Cyrus

Bookcase: 3

Book: 8

Page: 231

Line: 22

A/N 2: page 231 was the last page of a chapter, and as such, I went onto the next page with my counting.

"'We'd discovered it was here, somewhere at Crowe's Nest, but we didn't know exactly where.'" – Mystery Case Files: Unearthed: A Blackpool Mystery, Jordan Grey

AU: Alice, Will, and Cyrus are a team of secret agents. While working against Jafar, Cyrus and Will are captured, and Alice has to rescue them.

A/N 3: so i kinda suck at action and I apologize in advance for that. But it was either make these three secret agents OR my friend gave me an option to use my main Marvel ship instead and I honestly went the route that I felt would turn out better for all of us.

Alice could hear perfectly as Jafar – pretentious bastard – started a monologue at her boys. Cyrus and Will were in so much trouble when she got them out of there. If she told headquarters, they'd all get suspended. Getting captured was hardly being effective at their jobs, and while she'd managed to avoid it…

Well, she couldn't imagine the bosses would take too kindly to her pointing that out if a review came to pass.

She hugged herself to the wall as she pulled out a noisemaker – the small gadget would hopefully cause a diversion long enough for her to get the boys and make their rendezvous with the other team they'd been partnered with.

She flung the device into a side hallway, and the minute it landed the audio within started blaring – it sounded like fireworks going off, and she slipped into the shadows of the next room the moment she heard the monologue stop and barking of orders to henchmen start.

Now that she could see, barely, it was apparent that Jafar wasn't going to go check on the device himself. Orders stood at capture, not kill, and she gulped nervously as she loaded a round of the tranquilizing bullet that their tech expert had created into her gun. This shot had to work perfectly – and with minions swarming, the actual capture would have to wait until another day.

Alice closed her eyes, steadying her breathing, and then-

Opened her eyes, took aim, and pulled the trigger in one breath. It hit the man's shoulder – good enough to work for this.

She hurried over to where he had Will and Cyrus tied up, hands shaking as she undid the bonds that held them. Soon enough they were out, and she took a moment to pull them both into a hug. She couldn't think about what would have happened if she hadn't been there in time. She couldn't lose them – her father was so distant even before she went into a career that limited her contact with him that they might as well be her only family.

The hug was brief – time to breathe would come later – and then she grabbed their hands and they started to run.
