Disclaimer: I do not own Aladdin, or any of the characters. This is a companion to "You'll Never Lose In Love" as Jasmine explains to Jafar that she has to marry Aladdin to make the sultan happy, yet she loves Jafar.
"Jasmine, you don't HAVE to do this," Jafar told her.
Jasmine sighed.
"I'm afraid I must, it's the only way to make my father happy," Jasmine told him.
"Just don't marry him. If you marry him, you'll probably be miserable for the rest of your life. You even told me in one of our meetings that you don't love him that way, and you want to marry me. Well, you can have a happy ending. Just don't marry him. Do you want to be miserable for the rest of your life? Waking up next to him? Telling him you love him the way you've always told me? Just be honest about your feelings. You're an adult and you don't have to follow your father's orders," Jafar explained.
"I can't disappoint my father, he loves Aladdin, and always dreamed of having him as a son in law. Remember when he made that big display in the foyer with the elephants, camels, and all of that. My father was very impressed, I on the other hand, was not. Being married to him will be like living in a circus. That's not what I want," Jasmine fell into Jafar's arms crying.
"Then you don't have to do it," Jafar told her.
"Remember one of our meetings when we were on a night time walk, and you said you were going to climb all the way up to the sky and pick out a star just for me?" asked Jasmine.
"Yeah, and you told me that was impossible," Jafar remembered.
"Yeah, that's the problem with the two of us, you believe nothing is impossible. Me, I disagree with that. I think it is impossible to find a way out of this marriage," Jasmine paused than took Jafar in her arms and started crying. Jafar no longer tried to convince her not to marry Aladdin, but just held her.
They finally pulled out of the embrace.
"I still love you," Jasmine cried.
"I know…. I know you do," Jafar said back.
